OK, it’s over; he’s out. But assuming he is guilty of the charges against him, how could any R have voted nay? Is there any smidgen of a chance that he is innocent?
Here's a link to an article which gives broader depth to the charges facing Santos. It's possible that there's a smidgen of a chance that he's innocent of a couple of things, but I'm skeptical that he's innocent of everything alleged. That being said, it is to the disgrace of Congress that he got expelled while others who are equally deserving of expulsion continue to serve.
