I watched it last Saturday. Stupid movie. Totally unrealistic. If NYC was undergoing a sustained blackout, you would see a mass exodus in ALL directions. Yet, in the movie, Long Island seems depopulated, even through it still has POWER. Plus, this house is supposed to be in the vicinity of the Hamptons. Yet, they can somehow see NYC from their house. Please.
I was planning on scamming it the other night but the copy online was poor so I watched something else. I’m not sure I’ll even bother now.

I also thought it was suspenseful and intriguing, if a bit disjointed and super random with the racist comments. The young black woman was rich and privileged, yet acted like the white lady was the entitled one.There were not-so-hidden messages throughout, but one thing is clear: the Lord is in charge, not a failed president and his cronies.
I’m not going to watch it even though Kevin Bacon is in it.
Obama and the others on this picture are too foolish to realize that Kevin Bacon’s character is not rare. Maybe not to the same level, but many Americans realize you need some level of preparedness. To have more than a week’s supply of food, first aid items, water, batteries, candles, etc. Not just for doomsday like in the movie, but natural disasters, loss of jobs, and so forth. He also doesn’t give us credit for a strong faith in Christ, Who, even if invaders destroyed us, has promised that we have a home with Him.

Yea. What was up with the deer and flamingoes, the little girl’s obsession with Friends and Spanish speaking lady by the side of the road? Why would ships ground themselves and planes crash? More importantly where were the Teslas going?
For some reason, I kept thinking ‘committee’ while watching it, the movie was just odd parts thrown together as though a bunch of people had a voice in writing the movie and they had different views of what their portion would be about, even though the portions clashed with the other portions.
It is one of those movies that ended up looking stupid and gets more stupid the more you look back on it.
“Wake Up WAKE UP, we still have much work to do”, is my perfect caption.
A top drawer movie, out of a 100 - 0 rating system, I would give it a solid 85.
