History being used to take land is an old trick. Look at Tibet for example. By that logic all Europe should belong to Rome (Italy might do better running things in UE) . No, history is a poor metric for politics. The point is—There are just too few Jews to keep Israel going forever. The Palestinian Arabs are just too many! How long did the Crusader Christian kingdoms last in the Holy Lands until they were driven out? I foresee a similar fate for the Jewish State. Unless the Second Coming happens—in another century Israel will be one for the history books.

There is more than just shear numbers though. Israel fought off a coalition of Arab nations in 1967 and 1973. Of course they had help from the USA in terms of supplies.
