Towed artillery destroyed: 340

Self Propelled artillery destroyed: 511

MLRS artillery destroyed: 257

1108 artillery pieces destroyed.

The most important number is the Self Propelled artillery destroyed category, as that type has the greatest range, potentially the most elusive, certainly the most expensive and complex, requiring the best trained crews.

While America’s economy booms!

“Why More Chinese Workers Are Settling for Less Pay”

“Dwindling opportunities and weaker wage growth have left many people worse off than during China’s boom years”

“For many people in China these days, getting a job isn’t the problem. Finding a good one that pays enough is.

With the economy in a funk and deflation settling in, many people are having to settle for jobs beneath their skill levels, often with reduced pay. That is making it harder to make ends meet, depressing consumer spending and leaving many people frustrated in careers they fear are going nowhere.

In Beijing, Kang Deqiang spent much of the past two decades working as a marketing executive for Chinese media firms, until his last employer, a media outlet focused on railroad travel, went out of business during the pandemic.

Now he manages a dormitory building at a local college, a job that pays only about $500 a month after taxes—about 20% of what he earned at his peak. He also moonlights at a coffee shop in the evenings for about $3.80 per hour.”

FPV Drones & Artificial Intelligence: How Russia is Transforming Drone Warfare

Jan 26, 2024

- FPV drones transform cheap, easy-to-produce drones into precision guided weapons; - FPV drones have several disadvantages including loss-of-signal as it begins its attack dive or encounters electronic warfare;

- AI targeting allows an operator to designate a target while still in signal line-of-sight and before entering an area defended by electronic warfare, for the AI to then automatically guide the drone to its target without any external signal;

- Russia's large military industrial base lends its an advantage in both quantity and quality over Ukraine and its Western sponsors;

Of course, if Ukraine gets its F-16s from the Dutch, that advantage will shrink to nearly none. And they will not have to use up valuable missiles to do it - applies to all drones and non-ballistic missiles.

Think AESA radar.

RuZZian Boys going to be disappointed.

“Negotiators Close In on Hostage Deal That Would Halt Fighting in Gaza for Weeks”

“A written draft agreement calls for the phased release of captives held by Hamas in exchange for a cessation in Israel’s military offensive for about two months.”

“American-led negotiators are edging closer to an agreement in which Israel would suspend its war in Gaza for about two months in exchange for the release of more than 100 hostages still held by Hamas, a deal that could be sealed in the next two weeks and would transform the conflict consuming the region.

Negotiators have developed a written draft agreement merging proposals offered by Israel and Hamas in the last 10 days into a basic framework that will be the subject of talks in Paris on Sunday. While there are still important disagreements to be worked out, negotiators are cautiously optimistic that a final accord is within reach, according to U.S. officials who insisted on anonymity to discuss sensitive talks.

President Biden spoke by phone separately Friday with the leaders of Egypt and Qatar, who have served as intermediaries with Hamas, to narrow the remaining differences. He is also sending his C.I.A. director, William J. Burns, to Paris for Sunday’s talks with Israeli, Egyptian and Qatari officials. If Mr. Burns makes enough progress, Mr. Biden may then send his Middle East coordinator, Brett McGurk, who just returned to Washington, back to the region to help finalize the agreement.”

According to Bishop Mitt Romney, those Russian Indians were also Mormons.

History is wilder than we thought.
