I have no problem helping those who WANT to be helped, that 15-20%

Sometimes people just fall on hard times and need a break. It can happen to anyone. And sometimes, they may need assistance learning life skills that they may have never been taught at home. Fine.

But mental cases and drug addicts. Nope.

Bring back asylums and mental hospitals.

Drug dealers and drug runners, and cartel members. Arrest them. Give them a clear opportunity to make their peace with God. Then arrange the meeting.

That is not true at all. The building codes adopted into Florida Statute cover the state. More restrictive amendments can be added into local ordinance but the building code is not optional. You might be thinking of zoning codes which are local and can be quite liberal about what can be built and where it can be built.

Start with illegals. Camps in the Everglades.

Execute the dealers and all confiscated drugs sent to the camps. Would stop dealing in society and the users get free drugs in the camps.

JFK was a Democrat, he wanted the replacement immigration, all government workers unionized, he signed the first Affirmative Action bill and so on, the Community Mental Health Act was the start of the homeless, as Democrats do, they break the system, and set in motion the changes that will come to full fruition in future decades.

Have you noticed the change in the posts on FR about DeSantis over last couple of weeks, before the Iowa caucuses nearly every post on FR was about how terrible the DeSantis campaign was and bad of a person he was, now that he’s out of the race the posts are about how his performance in Florida is outstanding, it’s interesting how a guy can govern the 3rd largest state effectively but he and his campaign are horrible

We do need to round up the mentally ill and get them institutionalized so they can get treatment. The non-mentally ill homeless need similar, work centers to help them get things in order, get training, get jobs, then move out on their own when ready. In both cases, round them up and get them off the streets. Illegals, deport them.

We know how to solve homelessness forever.

Pretend Xi is visiting the city.

The homeless mysteriously disappear!

If the liberals could, they would have us all involuntarily committed, like they do in Cuba. Bear in mind that most psych docs are libs and nutty themselves, ready to sign the papers.

I noticed this before, during and after his campaign. Rather odd, isn’t it?

That’s a very good point. The psych profession has really gone off the rails in recent decades.

It is against the law in Florida to sleep in your car- which is outrageous. If you come upon hard times- that may be your last shelter

THe problem is that they won’t want to stay in camps. Too many rules.

best way to solve the homeless problem is to make eviction easier.

When ever I hear about government run mental facilities, I think of “one flew over the coo coo’s nest”.
I’d get them help, but the people giving it must be held accountable for their bad behavior.
As it is now, they have virtual immunity to everything.
