If these bills come to be law, it will be an utter failure, no doubt. When there are no more gas stations. all bikers, all owners of: power boats, classic cars, farm equipment, etc. will not be happy campers. I and many others, keep our vehicles in great shape and they last us a good 15 years and a few of them longer. Not until many more power plants are built and online with charging stations along side of gas stations, and charging time reduced drastically and the cost reduced to a reasonable amount will this be feasible. In addition, China has us dependent on them for lithium, and can cut us off whenever the Grand Poobah has a temper tantrum. Don’t the politicians of these blue states see the decrease in their population while the red states are gaining? Idiots.
What will be the per mile charge to replace the gas tax? The goal of this is to get people off the road completely...except the elites.
My gas vehicle identifies as an electric vehicle... who are they to tell it that it can’t identify however it wants? What are they? Petrolphobic?
Those states will be shocked when their economies dry up.
This issue by itself should lose elections for Democrats in blue states. Trump needs to play it up at every opportunity.
