Good news -- the Green Bay Packers are kicking butt in Lambeau field. That should mean a +1% in Presidential Approval in Wisconsin.

I live in Maryland too. This Urban legend "crap" just doesn't wash with me.

So in the final week, Kerry supporters are hitching their fortunes on who wins the World Series and who wins a football game. Actually there is a superstition that when the American League team wins the World Series the Republican wins the White House so something has to give.

5 words: Red Sox win World Series
To: scottybk
No reason for the Dems to go to the polls then, is there? Their man's a shoe-in.
Superstition (like the Force) has a powerful effect on the weak-minded. Fine by me, since "weak-minded" and "Dem" is pretty synonymous IMO.

(How do you ask a goose to be the last goose to die for the Kerry campaign?)

No way Jose, you forgot that Bush has the best lawyer around.
A man I admire very much, a man who has the biggest cojones
and his name is James Baker.

Maybe Bush wins the real election, but Kerry wins the recount? It's gonna be a long night.

Maybe we have a replay of the 2000 election. Bush will win the electoral college vote but lose the popular vote?
I don't think it's going to be as close as the press would like us to believe.

Keeping Culpepper in a 34 - 0 game isn't too smart.

Giants 34 - 0. It's official, the Vikes are getting their butts kicked.
To: Mr. Mojo
34 - 7. Yeah, I'd pull Culpepper.

Looks like the streak is going down on Halloween... ;-(
21-3 beginning of the 2nd Q.
Brady fumbles one, and throws a pic on another - both in Pitt territory
To: bikepacker67
Helluva streak, but bound to come to an end. (Although this game is far from over).
I had Laker season tickets in '71-'72 where they set the all-time pro sports record at 33 games in a row, and I never imagined that the record would still stand 33 years later.

Frankly I can't complain, Mojo...
I've been a NE Sports fan all my life, and as such, these last 3 years have been absolutely ecstatic.
As you said, any streak has to end sometime, and better it be to a non-division opponent!
So who do you think 'da Boss' will try and scoop from the Sox...
Pedro? Lowe?
To: bikepacker67
Beats me. I'd rather have Pedro than Lowe, but I'd rather the Bosox hang onto both of them.
I'm more concerned about who the Yanks get rid of than who they pick up. .....and I'd like to see Vazquez, Gordon, and Brown get the axe. Frankly, I see bad times ahead for the pinstripes.
