Is it bizarre to believe in sharing your wealth with your family first? I would never, ever bypass my family to give my fortune to help cure what is a 95% behavioral driven disease. Billionaire Ross Perot has said he will leave only a million dollars to each of his children. The rest goes to charity.
Of course, his kids are grown and are doing just fine without his money.

I agree that our attitude towards beauty has become distorted. Does anyone alive have violet eyes anymore!?! I mean, this was pre colored contacts, but I don't think people realize just how stunning her eyes alone are!
That's why I like the Bollywood, Lebanese etc actresses so much.
They are stunning and nothing artificial. Out of fairness though, Angelina's lips are hers. It can happen.

Gee, I can realize that AIDS affects many young lives, many teenagers, many that made mistakes in their lives. Seems that same thing happens to to drug addicts, alcohol addicts.
Sure there are many that deserve the disease - but there are far too many in this society that are not able to handle a situation of being gay and being a teenager. Yet, they have to pay with their lives before they fully even understand why they are different.

She was born in Britain? Does anybody know how long she lived there? I ask because i've always wondered why she had that kinda British English accent...

I don't even know if it was the Vanderbilts - might have been J P Morgan. Just remember that comment.
Yes - charity is often corrupted as we have seen with the United Way.

Wonder why several here jumped on your attitude about her money? Because they understand that you are throwing snide remarks her way - based on her kids deserve all her earnings whether she wishes that or not, that she is wasting her money on AIDS research, and that - you, of course, are so much a better person than she on her deathbed is.We are pretty versed in understanding what people are saying as they criticize and it is somewhat a cheap shot
Don't flatter yourself. You don't even understand what I typed, let alone what I meant.

Liz Taylor's dedication to the battle against AIDS also stems from a personal crisis: her daughter-in-law, Aileen Getty, has AIDS. Also she has two sons from Michael Wilding, one daughter from producer Mike Todd, and an adopted daughter with Richard Burton. She also has ten grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren so far as I could find. I am sure she has given her children plenty over the years. She doesnt strike me as the type of mother that wouldnt have set up trust funds or left her family to do without. May her days end in peace and may God be with her.

From what I understand, all of Perot's kids are wealthy in their own right.

Sometimes it leads to a chip on the shoulder when people who have more than you do are less "worthy" of it than you feel you would be. If that's not the message, it is certainly what is being conveyed! ;-D

Ross Jr made a fortune off of Mark Cuban when Cuban bought the Mavericks.

Well - several of us jumped on those comments. You did not cover the snide remarks as well as you thought.

Especially when they decide to leave their estate to sinners. Sinners? Are there some here on earth that are not sinners? I thought we were not supposed to judge - that that was God's dominion.
