Yours is the only post where I know most of the singers talked about!
I'm still wondering if the last paragraph of the article means "i take all this back, none of it is true" or not.
If not, then what's the point? I read it all for nothing??
Asia was a pretty good band. Their music actually sounds better now than it did when it was released.
Plus, they had really cool album covers. One of the downsides with the shift from LP to CD is that album cover art was never the same with such a small format.
Jimi Hendrix sat in with Englebert Humperdink one night (he was touring a bill WITH E.H. and a musician needed to be replaced one night). I'm not sure if this was the Jimi Hendrix Experience or an earlier band.
Reminds me of that SCTV sketch with (Bing) Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young performing "White Christmas."
From what I've read and seen, Jimi Hendrix was going to die young through drugs or exhaustion because that guy played any gig at all hours with any one on both sides of the Atlantic and both coasts of America. I think the drugs were just making it possible for him to wake up and go to sleep.
Yes, I remember that. John Candy, playing a young Como fan, was great in a suit and tie with punk makeup and colored hair!
Summers used chorus pedal on almost everything on Regatta De Blanc and afterwards. He was known for bringing it to prominence.
supposedly, it's true.
"Heat of The Moment" and "Sole Survivor" are standouts.
That new album by War On Drugs is pretty good too - the song "Pain" is climbing the charts and very addictive.
