I've been watching baseball on TV since I was a kid in the 1960's, and I don't think I've seen worse condtions. There were mud puddles all over the infield.

At that point, it's time to think about either turning the game into a farce, or a very expensive player getting hurt.

They played several innings beyond normal under those conditions, IMO.

Not to mention, ending in a tie brings the fans back once more, at least, which adds to the drama (and revenue).

Good old-fashioned American capitalism.

Enjoy it while you can.

Then your are either biased or a jerk. The issues I raised in my original post were with merit on several levels.

Power in the hands of fools is a big problem.

“Yup” is not a word it is more of an animal sound.

Cute, but lacrosse is for football players, basketball players, and wrestlers who think baseball isn’t a contact sport... which it is not. I challenge any baseball player to take a slap check to the elbow or a poke check in the neck without crying like a little girl.

In all seriousness though, I’ve known major league baseball players and most if not all of them are huge. They aren’t NFL huge, but they are not little weenies like 75% of any H.S. team.

I is physically impossible and even dangerous to play baseball in the rain. You can't play golf or tennis or any came reqiuing eye-hand co-odination with a small projectile that can cause serious bodily harm if misplayed when rain drops are hitting you in the eye. You can't slide to bases, ground balls do not behave themselves, in short the best qualities of baseball are eliminated in the rain. Football, soccer, and rugby were designed to play in the rain and mud. So don't give me this crap about baseball is for wimps. Who want to watch a baseball game played where there are no home runs? Where bunts roll to a dead stop instead of their usual randomness? Where hitters or umpires can't see the ball pitched to the plate? Tonight's game had many questionable balls and strikes on both sides.

Sorry rain is not compatible with baseball

Says the person who wrote in a previous post "Your an admin Mod and you make decisions like that?"

You missed the original post which discussed multiple issues with baseball and tax payers.

Unfortunately the admin Mod decided HE did not like it and trashed it.

So much for discourse.

Get laid.

It won't make the bitterness go away,
but it won't bother you as much.
