I am one of the select few that is doing a Nielson review this week. I don’t know what I’ll be watching, but it certainly won’t be the Obamunist.
At 8:00pm I’ll be chasing down my kids to get them ready for bed.
My daughter will have Backyardigans on Noggin, the boys will be asking for five more minutes to watch Avatar, the Last Air Bender.
I love Rush's new chipmunk riff on O's voice, speeding him up just a little. And I love the seminar callers who claim, "I can't understand it. I can't hear it."
I'd like to program my TV to do the same thing. It actually makes his monotonous, droning baritone, affected speech mannerisms easier to tolerate.
Ooh. Recipe, please.
Ghost Hunters International. Love that show, but Ghost Hunters (Taps) is my favorite.
How to access?
The recipe is from Shirley Sears in Tiskilwa, IL, and printed in the Fix It & Forget It Cookbook
4 quart containers of finely chopped, tart apples(I used a food processor and peeled/cored them first)
2 3/4 cups sugar
2 3/4 Tbls cinnamon (I used a whole one)
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1/8 tsp salt
I also added a bit of nutmeg
Place apples into crock pot
Mix remaining ingredients & pour over apples
Cover & cook on high for 3 hours, stirring well once an hour
Reduce heat to low & cook 10-120hours until thick & dark in color.
Whisk on accasion for sooth butter
Freeze or pour into sterilized jars and seal.
I’ve never made it before, and I’ve never canned before, but I have a pressure cooker & other supplies.
So far, so good. Almost like my Granny’s.
I don’t know what that crap is they’re trying to pass off as apple butter in the stores.
Get a beer, soft reclining chair and watch the grass grow.
“I have to wash my cat. Anyone know how to do that without getting your arms shredded?”
Here you go, compliments of “the Dog”:
> BATHING THE CAT
> > >
> > > 1. Put both lids of the toilet up and add the required amount of pet shampoo to the water in the bowl.
> > > 2. Pick up the cat and soothe him while you carry him toward the bathroom.
> > > 3. In one smooth movement, put the cat in the toilet and close both lids. (You may need to stand on the lid.)
> > > 4. The cat will self-agitate and make ample suds. Never mind the noises that come from the toilet; the cat is actually enjoying this.
> > > 5. Flush the toilet three or four times. This provides both “power-wash” and “rinse” features.
> > > 6. Have someone open the door to the outside. Be sure that there are no people between the toilet and the outside door.
> > > 7. Stand behind the toilet as far as you can, and quickly lift both lids.
> > > 8. The cat will rocket out of the toilet and run outside where he will dry himself off in an environmentally-friendly manner - no need to waste electricity using the tumbler (although this option should always be kept in mind).
> > > 9. As an added bonus the toilet will also be sparkling clean!

My block administrator requires that we watch Obama whenever he gives a speech. We have no choice. Later we’re required to go to our clubhouse for further information presented by the town’s chief Obama appointed administrator and all block administrators. We’ll be required there to email/write our reps in support of the pending legislation. Again, we have no choice. I have to run now before my granddaughter sees this reply and reports me. I’ve been feeling very uncomfortable while she is here visiting. Her brown uniform and authoritarian manner is a real concern. /s
Hah! My wife was watching GHI tonight. I remember thinking that there was a lot more factual, reliable, accurate information on GHI than there was in the Zero press conference.
Good call! Watched it on my computer.
Some stations carry his third hour, from 8 to 9. I was able to hear Levin's commentary on WABC in New York.
I'm sorry for my late reply. I've been away from the computer until now. You can probably get the audio replay at Levin's website: marklevinshow.com.
LOL.. I missed the "n". We were getting a shower about that time and sat outside and watched that - since we haven't had much rain in months.
