I like my movies on the bizarre side. “The Departed” was very good and would probably be #6. Can’t understand why so many seem to like “Gran Torino”, however.
My all time (undisputed) favorite is “Fight Club” with shout outs to “Pulp Fiction” and “True Romance”.

Other than the Lord of the Rings Trilogy you have to go foreign. Hop on Netflix and rent “After the Wedding” or “Inheritance” from Scandanavia; “The Tunnel”,”Lives of Others”, and “Counterfeiters” from Germany. I could go on and on but Hollywood jumped the shark.
Damn! I forgot about “We were soldiers”. Greatest Vietnam film every.
Your top two crack me up. Yes I saw them both and yes they are both good, but to see them together is just funny.
