You may need this.

It provides a system of arguing politics from a constitutional foundation. Although it may not win liberals over, it puts them in their place.

If you like the idea, I'll send you a copy. Just freepmail me.

they want you to quit, to surrender, to fail, to yield to their power....you are an island, the defender of what you believe, obedient to the voice of your soul, your spirit, your determination, your unyielding defiance in the face of that which is evil and shameful...carry on and doubt no more.

“The attacks on Sarah Palin by conservatives (some of whom I respect) have really been cutting me up inside.”

Sarah Palin is a true American gem, and heroine.

Follow her example by hitting back twice as hard when attacked. Further, I’d suggest your reexamine your “respect” for those who’ve attacked her - they’ve shown their true colors.

Palin ‘12!

A visit to DU might cheer you up - those people are miserable all the time.

My advice: cut back for a while. Set a goal — how many days a week? Some people study politics ONCE a week. That’s still being involved, just less often.

Being depressed and exposing yourself to a constant stream will make you ineffective. You need to come back an energized person who people enjoy “hearing” from.

Others study it three times a week. Make at least three days a week politics-free as much as possible. You might put on the radio while keeping busy doing other things, but ABSTAIN for a while. Don’t burn out. That’s the worst thing you could do.

And it wouldn’t hurt to take a break immediately — from now until Monday.

We all feel that way, now and then. After the 2006 and 2008 elections, I avoided reading any news as well as Free Republic for about a month. Slowly, things changed a bit and here I am...

To quote my own evil sef'?

Call it a Twilight of the Gods moment
( "In the twilight of the gods, the twilight men will appear..."
Otto Basil, circa 1968 )

...but until further notice, I am suspending updates specific to this post.

I will continue to update this:

DUBOB 11- more tales from the Dark UnderBelly Of the Beast...

with "everything you need to be aware of."
But I'm just burned, and bummed out. The elections. The sellout of Israel. The Moonbats. The Stupid Party. The Evil Party.

We all get tired of the idiocy... but I figure the next two election cycles are the Final Chance to reverse thing, so we'd better get cracking... One Mo' Time...

Here in SW Ohio my remedy for political depression is taking a break from the Glenn Beck Show. Instead of watching it 5 days a week only watch it 2 or 3 times.

You've got John Kasich to look forward to as Governor and Rob Portman replacing the zombie rhino. Buck up things are looking up!

And take the rest of today off, and Thursday. Maybe come back Friday — but set a timer on yourself — 90 minutes perhaps. After that, take the entire weekend off — Take a vacation from your problems — “Doctor’s Orders”.

TRUST ME...i have to take a break quite often....go into the woods...whatever it takes to decompress....you will come to some revelations when you look at it with a fresh eye.

Don't be guided by feelings. Set goals, find effective means to move towards them, and EXECUTE.

That's what the left does.

Cheers!

Reagan was my CIC and I loved him. I do remember the drumbeat back then was how “dumb” he was. That is the typical chant of the left: “We are brilliant - everyone else is dumb!” I will say that the attacks on Reagan actually seem tame compared to the attacks on Sarah Palin, however.

Read the American Revolutionary History... ask yourself where you would fit in... then ask yourself if all Americans had your attitude... would you be British today?

I didn’t create this thread because of Sarah Palin. She is just a part of why things are so depressing.

She doesn’t deserve what she gets. and it hurts me personally when she is attacked.

Oh for Gods sake. Cut it out. You are only depressed because you are acting like it is 2012 instead of 2010. The presidential election is over 2 years from now. Geesh.

Think 2010 and wait until we have declared candidates. You think it is bad now, just wait. You ain’t seen nothing yet.
