She doesn’t deserve what she gets. and it hurts me personally when she is attacked.

Yes, we all know.

You don't see a problem with that?

It doesn’t have all that much to do with who runs and who doesn’t.

It is just a general worry about the future of our country.

allthough the attacks on Palin are deflating for me.

I hear you! I work in a place where we CONSTANTLY have Fox on one screen and CNN on another. I refuse to watch the news on weekends.

And yes it has been severely depressing lately.

No, not at all.

She represents middle America so well that when they attack her it feels that they attack us.

I actually agree with you. This year is the first that I ever watched “Dancing with the Stars.”

I found it necessary to get away from politics. I’m convinced Obama is out to destroy this country.

Maybe I just need more breaks from politics and news watching. But reality is harsh right now.

Perfectly understandable, and yes, if you need a break, by all means take one and feel welcome whenever you decide it's time to come back.

Sometimes we need to recharge. The objective of the enemy is to wear us all down to compliance. Taking a breath prior to the primary battles and November elections is a good idea.

You'll know if there's an issue demanding your immediate attention.

Take some time to get in touch with the things that make your life meaningful. God, family, friends, etc.

Good luck.

We are all worried for the future of the country. Think 2010. Worry about that for the moment. If the GOP wins big in November, they better not resort to the passiveness they have always exhibited in the past. If they do, the story of 2012 will be sadly written.

One battle at a time. Quit taking opposing views so seriously. They are good for candidates. Makes them work harder to get it right.

If a person wants to be President, they can’t be a petty little piker like Obozo and whine at the criticism.

Making one feel helpless is all part of the strategy.

Sorry you feel that way, kid.

Here's a tip: Do not, repeat, DO NOT expect one political person to "save" you. I don't care who it is that you pin all your hopes to, you will always be disappointed.

As for your angst re: Mrs Palin. Buck up. She is a big girl and can take care of herself. If she cannot, she does not belong in politics.

IMHO, she brings much of the criticism upon her self with her stupid publicity stunts (eg-the writing on the hand, taking the magic marker to the "McCain" hat, the frequent thin-skinned shove backs at has-been comedians, etc., etc., etc.) Yes, it keeps her in the news, but makes her look like an idiot. Whether this is entirely her own doing, or the result of poor advice from substandard advisors, remains to be seen.

Best wishes to you!

She didn’t bring most of it on herself.

The evening McCain picked her I was in a local general chat room and there were people in there saying Trig was Bristol’s baby and posting links to pictures and some story on DailyKos. It was a matter of several hours.

Then came other attacks. She has to respond at some point. She can’t just take it and NEVER defend her family.

Stay focused on the end goal not the negative noise being used to distract you. Pray. Keep on moving forward even if some days we are only moving inches. Even if sometimes we move inches backwards. What is the goal? What is the goal? What is the goal? Free America. Constitutional America. God’s America.

You said the other poster couldn’t spell; I assume ylou refer to his use of the word whinge. FYI “whinge” is a real word that means to complain fretfully. Sounds like whine but isn’t!

Stay strong and don’t get discouraged!

Again, sorry you feel that way, kid.

All I can say is, perhaps you should develop other interests. Politics is a blood sport.

No wonder you are sick. That story is old news long ago debunked. Let it go. You are living vicariously through Palin, which is very unhealthy.

Good Palin is not you. She would be hiding under a bed.

Let not your heart be troubled by the dirty deeds of the left. When I feel depressed by the thought that the wicked always seem to get ahead I always pick up my Bible and refer to the 37th Pslams... the wicked will get what’s coming to them. As it is written, so it shall be...

Darn the XBOX! That must be what Obama was referring to when it comes to truth and lies on the those new fangled devices.

BS, So what did you expect. Nice behavior from Democrats? If she would run and get the nomination, that will get much worse.

The truth is that the word hate has become other than what it is. Disagreement is now hate, criticism is now hate.

My oldest son is a lib, bless his soul. I love him to pieces but I hate his politics, I certainly don’t hate him.

One battle at a time. Get away a few days at a time, enjoy summer and quit taking it all so seriously.

Disagreement is how this site thrives. Makes it interesting.

Get used to being flamed and don’t take things personal.
