Excellent analysis. The token ‘conservative’ columnist for the NYT talked about her ‘”great guns”...I thought at the time he had just made Liberace seem masculine. You don’t have Holocaust forearms if you are lifting, working out and strong.
He NEVER looks at her romantically or even just lovingly or reaches out to her ....Bush & Laura, you could tell they cared.

It causes me some discomfort to say that I agree with you on both points. Pelosi did look elegant and MO’s feet and shoes were the only thing I liked.
Her hair was better, I like the tousled thing because it softens her; but she needs some frizz control. Maybe it was really humid in DC that evening.

It was one of her many wigs (this one was her Diana Ross wig). I don’t think the humidity would have made any difference.

I think her feet look hideous. That polish is so tacky and her toes are ugly.
