On what grounds could they have objected?
At the time, Islam was considered to be just another religion. (There also was no Ground Zero on which to build their Victory Mosque.)
People were IN THE BUILDING and they were ON TOP OF THE PLANE.
There were dead people in the Pentagon, and dead people in the plane.
This was a "ground zero" situation.
I even had a couple of neighbors involved in heroic expeditions into burning areas to pull people out, and there were deaths and injuries of other Pentagon employees living in this neighborhood.
Frankly, I don't think you have any idea what you are talking about when it comes to the attack on the Pentagon.
You're an expert on everything, aren't you? Are you looking for the Floor, Ring, Corridor and room number?
What else is there in the Pentagon that you haven't seen and therefore must not exist?
That’s sick...
heh LOL!
Well stated Darkwing!
I never saw it ~ and the internet is backing me up in my observation that I never ran into it because it probably wasn't there.
Now, why can't I be someone of an expert in a building I've visited hundreds of times over the years. I live within 10 miles of it, and for a long time I had direct business dealings with the postal military liaison office ~
Wonder if Muhammad was in any way associated with the Ft. Hood shooter Nidal Malik Hasan who was also at Walter Reed?
People were a little more educated back then and it was well known the history of the American Navy and Marines first job was to deal with the Muslims on the north African coast.
Sounds like SOP for the Religion of Peace. They kill a bunch of people, and then build a mosque.
“Progressive” is a misnomer denoting a stupid leftist.
AFAIK, the Pentagon has always had a non-denominational chapel. It wouldn't surprise me if they offered a location for Muslims, as well. It's probably been there for years, and no one has given it a thought.
The difference with the Cordoba House is that it is Muslim triumphalism that will be on display there. Muslims all over the world will celebrate how they 'won' in this struggle against the Great Satan, and it will serve to rile up the radicals even more, which, I suspect is their goal.
What Mosque 'Inside' the Pentagon?
Shall we invite the kitties?
YOu bet they will celebrate...at our expense. Its very bad of Muslims to want to make an in your face move like this..How about moving it to another country..
SHe still hasn't revealed that.
So whadda' ya' think of that ~ a double Pulitzer prize winning reporter failed to get the scoop of the century ~ an in depth interview with an Islamofascist terrorist during the planning phase of his idea to murder our troops standing line waiting medical release for overseas duty.
Or did she miss that.
Again, send her a note ~ let her know you have been watching and waiting for her to tell us about Hassan.
You do know she's only gotten one new byline on a story at the WarshPost since Hassan did his killings ~ the Posties know, she knows, I know, and now you and other Freepers know.
You can go bust the Army Chaplain's chops but you got a top Post reporter to nail first.
We also have some allied Middle Eastern officers under exchange progams there.
Why not?
A mosque? That would have been local news here in Northern Virginia and I simply didn't find such a thing referenced until the Leftwingtards invented one. I sure never heard of it.
There's the new Memorial Chapel in the Pentagon and according to the official news it's multidenominational, etc. just like all military base chapels.
The real question is will Bloomberg build a family synagogue for his personal use in Dubai? Will he station a rabbi there so when he's present he can pray?
We've been played...
The NYC mosque has no reason to be built exactly at Ground Zero except as thumb in our eye.
