I saw that movie 14 times in the theater WAY back when I was a kid.
Loved Gene Wilder.
Anyway, Hackman did steal that movie!
I remember reading somewhere that Anthony Quinn and Danny Thomas were both considered for the role of Don Vito Corleone in “The Godfather.” Also, the studio wanted Robert Reford for the role of Michael (James Caan also auditioned for the role.)
Tim Matheson, Peter Coyote and Tom Sellick for Indiana Jones (what a fail those would have been). Sean Young for Marion (still love her in Bladerunner).

harry potter would be the kid from six sense and A.I.
“The Bodyguard”, with Kevin Costner and Whitney Houston, was originally written a number years before, with Steve McQueen in the title role. (I don’t know who would have been cast in the Whitney Houston role.)
There is a bit of strangeness to him. But he's one of the few actors who in my opinion "own" a role, in that I can't see anybody else playing it. For him that was a pretty serious role, Howard Campbell in Mother Night.
Spot on. I think Damon got scared he was being typed cast and wanted to stretch as an actor and play straight guys.
Looking at the trailer, Nathan Fillion may be the only thing that saves this movie. Can’t believe how cheesy the “aliens” looked. And the sets were painted screens. Geez.
Oh...I see it’s “fan made”. Not bad, if that’s the case.
OJ as “The Terminator” that’s appropriate. The story I always thought was the most interesting was Buddy “Jed Clampett” Ebson was suppose to be the Tin Man in The Wizard of Oz but his costume was silver paint and he inhaled it and got very sick and had to be replaced. That Tin Man costume in the movie was pretty good and so was the actor, with his New York accent. But they say “ol Buddy” was quite a hoofer and there are even claims that some of the Tin Man dance scenes are actually Buddy.
That would be AWESOME! I love Nathan Fillion.
Nathan Fillion isn’t going to be but Ryan Reynolds will be donning the suit this time.

Spielberg wanted John Wayne for the Robert Stack part in 1941 but Wayne thought the script was anti-American propaganda.
The song “We’re off to see the wizard” still has Ebsen singing in the final cut.
Lead actor Sam, played by Fred Dryer ( Hunter ) as a retired football player set in Barstow, California. He has an off and on again relationship with Diane played by Julia Duffy ( Newhart, Designing Women ). One of his employees Carla would be played by singer Janis Ian ( Society's Child, At Seventeen ).
That's right, it's “Cheers.”
Wow I didn’t know that, thanks for the info and next time I listen to it I will see if I can hear “ol Buddy’s” voice. I think it was Buddy himself who said he could see that some of his dance footage was used in the final cut of WOO. It is intriging to wonder what might have been had other actors been in a movie.
I gotta say, at the end when Reynolds says the oath for the little kid who asked the question — that was a pretty savvy and cool thing to do.
Sounds better than what we got.
