Oh Yeah, that one is a legend among full size Pilots and R/C’rs alike. The way you can tell that it’s a full size is the engine/prop noise. Those Extra’s are built for a lot of G’s, but need a lot of Ultrasound inspections to find cracks in the composites. The Pilot is one talented Guy. By the way he knife-edged her in, I’d swear he was an R/C 3-D pilot as well.

No worries Chuck... I similarly Laughed out Loud REALLY hard at Nik Naym's post:
Maybe you recognized him.He looked like this:
All I could think of was the Large Marge scene in PeeWee's Big Adventure.
And when they finally pulled the driver's body from the twisted, burning wreck... It looked like THIS:
Now do you get why I was laughing so hard?

This is fake. Discovery Channel proved this FAKE on the show Is That Possible? Click on that line above my name where I posted it .... or here. The part at 1:40 surprised me, but I have to give them credit for the whole "James Andersson" persona, too.

“Sigh... The 1600lbs. figure you quote is empty weight. That means it doesn’t include fuel or pilot. Now, add 150 gallons of jet-a (7lbs/gal = 1050lbs) + 200Lb. pilot and the RTF weight was 2800lbs. Ta-daa!! Welcome to show biz! ;-)”
Wecome to the internet. Most of us know how to do basic research before we post.
“With a performance weight of 1,900 pounds and 2,800 pounds of thrust, the Turbo Raven could climb straight up, stop in the vertical line, and then accelerate straight up again.”
