The championship and the Rose Bowl are the only ones that are really intriguing. OU v. UConn in the Fiesta Bowl? Pass.
Looks like the good ol’ boys still call the shots... No Boise State?
I found it...Utah vs. Boise State - how generous! /sarc/
Auburn has an ineligible player and can not play. No Doubt!!
A rare year where neither USC nor UCLA make a post-season appearance.
And given their play this year, rightly so.
It appears that ESPN/ABC has pretty much monopolized televising the bowl games.
One of the big issues when you get away from the main bowls is selling enough tickets to not lose a fortune on putting on the game. That’s how Navy gets bowl bids. They can sell tickets.
After Boise St. lost, it was all over. TCU had a great shot but the powers that be wont allow it either.
Auburn with a clearly ineligible QB...this BCS nonsense will go on forever.
I want Oregon to cram Cam Newton’s early pro payday start...somewhere...haven’t figured out where yet
Man, Boise State misses ONE EASY FIELD GOAL, and suddenly they aren’t good for ANY major bowl in the country?
But a team they beat gets to play in a big-name bowl.
Boise State declined the Kraft Mac n Cheese in San Fran. It’s supposedly more prestigious than the Las Vegas bowl but the players, coaches, and fans basically said no, they wanted Utah at Vegas.
And Stanford has to play Virginia Tech in the Orange bowl.
Two disasterous matchups. Both OU and Standford should be playing each other or Stanford vs. Wisconson.
Wisconson will put a minimum of 60 pts on TCU.
I used to pay attention to this nonsense. Wake me when they have a playoff.
Boise playing on Dec. 22. U Mich playing on Jan. 1? 3-5 in Big Ten. Not even receiving a single vote in any poll. No notable win. What is wrong with this picture?
Wait a minute. The Hokies are really hot right now. Won their last ll games staight.
If you are not playing for the National Championship, it does not really matter. I know that the schools and conferences get big bucks from some of the bowls, and the best thing for teams that participate in them is that they get more practice time. This should help for next year, but for the schools that set their aim on playing for the national championship, these other bowls are a disappointment. Go Ducks!!!
Yep, Boise really got screwed in this list....over two missed field goals...geez.
What a joke...of a match-up!!
