7 and 7 last 10 years.....I think.
Yeah they have a history....
Remember the last time OU was heavily favored in a bowl game in Glendale.
JoePa should add to his record win total.
Try to keep up with the news.
Missouri (10-2) goes to the Insight.com Bowl...
...while Texas A&M (9-3, lost 30-9 vs Missouri) gets the Cotton?
This is the stupidest slate of bowl games (in its entirety) I’ve ever seen.
Only the Rose bowl holds any interest to me, and maybe the Capital One bowl - the rest should be easy wins and blowouts for the favorites.

Yahoo’s faux 16-team playoff, based upon this season’s conference champs.
This bowl season really reflects how dysfunctional the BCS is. It's not about matching up the best teams.
No NCAA football playoff until:
1) All teams, including Notre Dame, are in a conference.
2) All conferences play a title game.
3) All conferences subdivsions shall schedule another conference subdivison (eg all SEC West’s teams play all of ACC Coastal teams - like the NFL it rotates).
4) All teams schedule the same amount of home and away games.
5) All teams shall be required to play at least one game with a team that finished in the same order as they did in a separate divison from the subdivison game, example the winner of the SEC shall play the winner of the PAC 12 the following year - like the NFL.
So we are looking at about a 12 to 14 game schedule.
That’s close to my idea, which is to place teams in tiers, based on their final ranking.
The Top 32 teams are the Top Tier, draw two non-conference opponents from a hopper and schedule the games in the following season, one home game and one away game for each team. Reserve two weekends, one near the beginning of the year, and one near the end of the year. Any games already scheduled must be moved or dropped.
Do the same for each of the other tiers, so that on those two weekends, every team is playing a randomly drawn non-conference opponent.
Oregon is 1-0 against the SEC this year.
Off topic...but I love Josh Hamilton’s story. Great kid...and as someone who has “been there, done that”...I understand what he’s been through.
“Oregon is 1-0 against the SEC this year.”
Uh, yeah, their marquee out of conference victory was against a piss-poor 6-6 Tennessee team with a young coach in the second game of his career in Knoxville.
The "Catholics vs Convicts" Rivarly is played once again!
That is the way it should be done, just like it is for March madness, do the brackets.
....And OU CHOAKED in a few games themselves. Never underestemate UConn.
They also look at how many fans you can bring to town to fill up the hotels, restaurants and bars.
Bosie State would have to bring everyone in Idaho to equal what Alabama, Auburn or Texas will bring.
But yes, you are correct...that factor's in with the people that pick the Bowl teams.
Eh?
