Dear Mother Sprite,

Your son, # 518, has failed the irony and sarcasm portion of his Freeper 101 English course. Of course, we feel the failure of any student, especially one as promising as # 518, is in some way our failure, too.

Our instructor, the esteemed (self, mostly) Mr. K. Bunk, failed to mark your son's reading material with a big red S. He will be required to wear one pinned to his shirt for the rest of the semester. Your son will have to attend the remedial summer session, but Mr. Bunk will not be the instructor.

Yours truly,

PS:
Mr. Bunk sincerely apologizes and hopes this will be the most scurrilous attack young Master Sprite 518 will ever face.

I know how the government is about forms. I posted earlier ~ and even earlier ~ and for years and years and years ~ that I designed OVER 1,000 different forms for the use of the USPS and the mailing public.

Some were simply dramatic revisions ~ and MANY OF MINE also carried a warning that you could be punished by law to include imprisonment and $10,000 fine for providing FALSE information.

So, what is it you want to tell me ~ that SOMEBODY SOMEWHERE in the government cares?

In all those years I don't recall a single individual ever going to prison for misusing a postal form.

Reminding the users of the penalties might have encouraged them to conform, but punishment is used only on a select few.

There is no "Penalty" clause on the original blank form used for input to the civil registration system in Hawaii. Stanley Ann had nothing to fear. She'd just had a baby and they asked her his father's race (if any) ~ what if she didn't know? Ever think of that? What if Stanley Ann and the nurse and the clerk and the chief clerk at the county had no idea what "race" you might be if you came from Africa?

She said "African" and if I'd been there I'd not argued with her, and no federal bureaucrat was standing around ready to pounce on the mothers, babies and nurses.

I think your imagination regarding what goes on in a fascist state is running away with your common sense.

There are no guards with bayonets posted at the front door. And people in Hawaii aren't hung up on race ~ they know the facts. Japanese vote Democrat. Chinese vote Republican. And haoles vote whatever they want. This little baby Curajan? No one cared.

Think about it, 50 years ago his baby-momma said the baby-daddy came from Africa, and NO GOVERNMENT AGENT has changed it in all those years.

Here's a secret for you ~ from a government employee who figured out how to put his imprimatur on all the Postal rules ~ NO BODY CARES unless you owe money for it, or they owe you money for it ~ "it" being a dispute on the amount.

I have a hard time believing that Obama’s mom forgot what country the man she had a child with is from. That is what you are suggesting based on speculation.

But we do know this. That the word, “African” was NOT an option on the birth certificate form. That is a recent word and not something used in 1961.

I know there are some good people that work for the government. However, I do not put a lot of faith into the politicians. I know government agencies jump too when dealing with a politician because it’s ALWAYS about the money.

Obama's mom didn't "forget" which country the baby-daddy was from. As I explained YESTERDAY he came from a country that wasn't quite put together the way we see it today.

Kenya was a British Protectorate in 1961. It's capital city was Mombasa. Mobasa, though was in a DIFFERENT Protectorate with the phrase "East African Protectorate" in the title.

So, she said, apparently, "Kenya", "East African Protectorate" ~ and by 1963 all she, or he, or anyone else would need to say is "Kenya" since both Protectorates were glued together into one country.

The "African" item comes in response to "race". She said "African". I always say "NASCAR" or "INDY500", don't you?

Now, regarding whether or not "African" was an option on the form.

Anything you wanted to say was an option.

The point of law folks are pointing to is a statement describing US government reports. The document where "African" is placed is hardly a US government report.

It's just a document reflecting the baby's name, where he was born, and who his parents, if any, were. There was no list of prescribed answers.

I have a question -—— actually a few.

Was Obama actually legally adopted by Soetoro?

Would the Obama name be negated if he had legally been adopted?

If he was, in fact, legally adopted by Soetoro, and after his Mother and Soetoro divorced, did Obama ever change his name back to his birth name?

I don't know, and am not sure if he was ever legally adopted.

I do know, that, in regards to his name, he never used "Barack" while growing up, and never used it anywhere, he basically always called himself "Barry" (in fact, to this day, people who are actually friends with him, still call him Barry, and some express puzzlement over when he started using his formal name).

Sidenote: Former chief executive officer of America Online, Steve Case, went to the same high school as Obama, and at the same time (though a couple of years apart).....
