The air was clean and crisp when we arrived home. Much outside clean-up done Sunday; rained Monday day. Heavy rain in Eugene last night and this morning. There are two Cascading Pools at "ground zero", square in size. I think the walls/floor/hole are all granite stone. The hole in the center bottom is approximately 40' x 40', there are night lights at the bottom of the walls along the pool floor. Two of the planned five towers are well underway. Security was very heavy; we had to show our pass and ID at least 8 times (plus metal detectors) to get into the area. (This is a flickr photo from my Droidx camera)

There were flags all around the construction site. My heart was heavy and everyone was very somber knowing they were standing where the twin-towers used to be. I could almost feel and hear those souls...
