Rick is the one who raised his own money, truly by himself. One on one, or on the stump, he speaks just fine, for getting out of the way of business and for jobs. Romney wants it just ‘cuz, and because as all RINOs think, he thinks it’s his “turn”. Cain wants it because he is restless and has a lot of nerve. Newt was born a genius intellectually, and is a marvelous debater. The Lefty media lights are going to be our path to the presidency? Well, knock me over. Are we going to settle for that? Why do our candidates consent to MSNBC Marxists? And then we fall for the results.

Are you going to deny that Cain has agreed to be Romney’s VP but says he wouldn’t be Perry’s? That tells me all I need to know about Cain.

Perry is a solid fiscal and social conservative.

He is just a terrible campaigner. So far.

Perry at 38% was great. Perry at 15-19% meant he remained within striking distance of Romney. At 9%, per Rasmussen's latest poll today, Perry is barely competitive. That is not good. Perry's abysmal debate performances coupled with his unwillingness to go on tallkshows and give more interviews have cratered his candidacy. In politics if you sit back and wait for something to happen, you'll be DOA!

If its not panic time for Perry&Company. At the very least its crunch time for the Perry campaign. Perry needs to find his fire in the belly and go for it.

It is fiscally irresponsible to support illegal aliens.

Sorry, it is a fact.

Your comment: In real life, people who say they support “the most conservative candidate that is electable” mean they support “the most liberal republican.”

The linked article which had to be pasted here as an excerpt provides these three kinds of Republican voting blocs, and your result is only from voting bloc number 2, see below.

_____________________

Additionally from linked article:

There are three fairly cohesive voting blocs that make up the Republican primary coalition.

The first and largest group is the social conservatives, who are comprised of primarily evangelicals and pro-life Catholics.

The second group is the GOP establishment, which primarily consists of Republican Party leaders, and big money and corporate interests.

The third, and newest group on the scene within the Republican coalition, is the dynamic, but not as predictable, tea party supporters.

Each of these three coalition groups could potentially control the nomination process if — and only if — the members of that group unite behind one candidate.

_____________________

I don't think we'll find many of the second kind here at Free Republic unless they are posers, but voting blocs 1 and 3 should be here in great numbers, and there is no sign of coming together at this point, even within their own bloc.

We'll have to see who can withstand the nomination process to see who is left standing then, won't we?

You can overturn legislation but cannot un-amnesty 30 million illegals.

Anybody who thinks that Perry is conservative or electable as President is not paying attention.

You can’t deal with field. He is a full time spammer to anything Perry threads, bringing along his anti-Mexican rants & banners flying as he hops cheerfully from one thread to another. A researcher, he is not. (With the exception of course, being Perry opposition material cut and spliced, and the usual anti-capitalist talking points who naturally despise Perry’s success record.)

Hypothetical here... If Perry dropped out. What would his supporters do percentage wise? 75/25 Cain/Romney? Or what? Thanks in advance.

It's blasphemous to compare Rick Perry to Ronald Reagan. Reagan was an intelligent man who majored in economics, and read and studied about history all his life. He made a fortune in the private sector, and only entered politics when he saw how the Demonrat Party was ruining America with socialism. Perry is a man of mediocre intelligence who would never have gone anywhere until he discovered the racket of politics, where a loud-mouthed con artist can attain prominence and power. Herman Cain is the one who is really like Reagan. Again, a man of high intelligence who studied math and computer science (while Perry was being a male cheerleader), made his fortune, and turned to politics late in life.

Without politics, Perry would be nothing. He has no technical skills and has never run a business. Career politicians like Rick have been the ruination of America. He is the answer to the question no conservative ever asked: "How can we get another 'compassionate liberal'...oops, I mean 'compassionate conservative,' in the White House? I so miss George Bush."

“Kristol told me just after Perry entered the race, a development that essentially ended [the more radical Michele] Bachmann’s brief ascent. Establishment Republicans may prefer Romney to Perry, but their assumption is that either man can be counted on to steer the party back toward the broad center next fall, effectively disarming the Tea Party mutiny.”

Just because La Raza Rick has self-destructed you go and slander and attack others who shine the light of truth on his record of fraud. Shame on you.

Per is proven pro-life. I remember when the so-called conservatives were saying well it’s ok if the candidate is wishy washy about life.

And now we have a true pro-life conservative, and where are the fauz pro-lifers. chasing Cain and Romney. SICK.

Did you see this? It's from Bloomberg post the Bloomberg debate, but since they are business-oriented and are looking at it as business men and women, I'll take it! LOL

“It is fiscally irresponsible to support illegal aliens. “

It is not irresponsible to support the tuition for children of illegals when presented with a bill signed by 97% of the Texas legislators where it is not you, but THEY as in the student who pays the bill and is in the process of becoming a citizen, having never seen Mexico. This is a border state with an Hispanic majority after all. The proof is in the pudding and you will find your candidate will be doing the same when confronted with the issue. Nobody is going to be seen packing off the innocent. I am certain that America has no history of that and does not want to begin one. If turning lemons into lemonade and adds to the economy, rather than takes away, would you want to morphe it into rightous indignation.

What goes up can come down. Perry and Cain have traded places, but that doesn’t mean much at this point in time.
