“I dont need Rush or Sarah or them guys to tell me who to vote for. No sir. I gots me some Jim Robinson telling me Newts da man and hell zot me if I support Obomney.”
Get lost, R2nd!
Or more cowbell.
I agree with the poster that endorsements from inluential, out front conservatives would be useful to the debate. Right now I have Santorum saying why he is the right guy and why Perry and Gingrich are wrong, Gingrich telling us why he is better then Perry and Santorum and Perry explaining why he is a better conservative then Newt and Santorum and each is guided by his own agenda and each, is opposing Mitt and Obama. I would like to hear informed conservatives discuss the candidates objectively with historic data presented in context. Right now we have the candidate blowing their own horn and the MSM tearing them down without any objective consideration.
After 2006 saw the GOP lose big in the off year elections, Rush told his audience that he was glad, now he wouldn’t have to carry water for the GOP any longer as he had long disagreed with it’s policies. If he (and others) lay back and let Mitt get the nod without speaking out, then they are no better then the MSM who is trying to engineer that result.
I am right there with you. The day she said she wouldn’t run was day the our music died. Now all we hear are discordant notes from instruments that don’t sound good together and does not a Conservative song make.
I’ve come down in my brain to Newt, Perry, and Santorum but my heart is Alaska.
The GOP is going to lose big this year too because “conservatives” are apparently a bunch of brain dead morons who can’t vote without someone telling them who to vote for.
My posting was not directed at people like yourself who are free confident thinkers and not part of the cattle.
Unfortunately, there are millions of people where a Sarah endorsement or certainly Rush will crown a candidate.
I don’t expect them to weigh into this until the field is down to 2 people, but if they hold back at that time, esp when just about the entire Karl Rove beltway is behind Romeny, then I think that tells you that they are truly cowards.
I’m for Newt. Everyone here knows that.

You’re alone in that opinion. I know conservatives are bright enough to make a decision, my only complaint is that the only source of information that we are getting is from the candidates themselves, each of whom has an interest in promoting their positives and hiding their negatives. More frustrating is the fact that we have several well informed conservatgive media figures who are in a position to offer an informed OPINION that can move the discussion along. We had better find another source of objective analysis if Rush et al., refuse to use their positions as Mitt is gaining momentum and the conservatives are in a circular firing squad.
And besides, since when has Rush, Hannity etc. been without an opinion that they weren’t eager to share?????
YEAH! Cuz we're too dumb to make up our minds on our own.
“Come on, show some courage like most of us on this forum have done.”
Shouldn’t you put a sarcasm tag on that? What’s the courage in anonymous postings about your favorite candidate?
I’m not prepared to throw in the towel. The convention is not until the summer and although I feel Rmoney gains advantage everyday he is not effectively challenged, I have not given up hope. And I certainly don’t think that attacking the conservatives in the party is an answer to anything.
Rush does not tell us what to do or who to vote for. We are not mindless robots.
Rush espouses conservatism and wants people to think on their own and come to the right conclusions on their own.
Tell you what Doc, write a play about this election and call it:
"Why I Need You More Than Ever or How I Fell in Love With Talk Radio Hosts and Now I Can't Tie My Shoes Without Their Instruction".....
Or, how about this one?
"Looking For Mr. Goodbar.......To Tell Us How to Vote"
Or lastly,
"Why I Need to Avoid My Computer When I'm Drunk and Lonely..."
Great, but do you NEED Rush, et al., to also say so? Perhaps you forget that they are entertainment and not sources for decisions. They need not to say so as to draw an audience. If they say so they can alienate a majority of their audience.
Mark Steyn is backing Romney???
Yes, Yes, Yes! We are in this mess because to many have been sheeple for decades. Figure out what you believe and what you value and vote accordingly. I am glad these guys are staying neutral right now.
Now that was good HT!!!! To bad there are weak knees out there who can’t put a pair of sox on without marching orders on who or what to vote for. Gotta be freakin’ embarrassing for ‘em to post such help me, help me, help me whining huh?
Understood....after listening to Rush since the beginning, I don’t suspect to here a clear-cut endorsement, but I’m sure some hints are out there for those who listen (sounds to be talking up Perry mostly). That does help a candidate gain some traction.
However, since Rush has had Romneybot Rove on his show and Hannity seems to think Rove walks on water, I don’t value their endorsements much. Someone active in the conservative movement may have a little more influence, but hopefully people are getting active, learning about the records of the candidates, and an informed electorate will make DUh-bama haul his sorry ass back to Chicago.
