Nobody’s gonna mention “A”, “Under Wraps” or “Walk Into Light”?
“Toad In The Hole” was a classic.
“Fly By Night” was eerily poignant.
“Black Sunday” and “Flyingdale Flyer” rocked.
Any other Tull fans ever manage to snag a copy of the old “Slipstream” video?
You *have* to.
Wholeheartedly agree.
To me it's even more than that...if someone ever asked me to describe the archetypal prog rock album, this would be it.
I’m guessing you’ve read these?

I’ve got all 3 plus the hardback and one extra that’s autographed.
They’re quite well done.
It kind of underwhelmed me. I’m hoping it improves when the anticipation goes away. A lot of times stuff is a let down because we built up unreasonable expectations, give it a few years and try it without expectations and it turns out to be pretty darn good.
Spin me back down the years and the days of my youth...
I have long believed that TAAB was the best “prog-rock” album ever.
Thing is, some people’s definition of ProgRock don’t match other peoples.
But I would include Yes, ELP, King Crimson, Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, and some others.
bump to a computer w/ sound
Right!
And where all the sportsmen were who always pulled you though?
I heard something about them all resting down in Cornwall -- writing up their memoirs for a paper-back edition of the Boy Scout Manual.

Another fave of mine is from Yes..."Tales From Topographic Oceans". Though not as perfect beginning to end, "Nous Somme du Soleil" really puts me in a trance. If you like it, check out the recent recording of it on YouTube...in Amsterdam I believe. Steve Howe, Chris Squire, Jon
Ian Anderson and Tony Snow from FNC.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PzwumOiRlvE
Like Tull’s “Divinities”.
Wasn’t much for it when I bought but now it’s a good listen.
[still hate Rupi’s Dance, though]
On the upside, he’s got a single out of it in “I’ll Bite Your Face Off”.
It’s good in concert tune.
His sinister “You know that I can” is pretty good, live.
Oh well.
He was wearing the album cover getup when he hit me with a cane so there is that, for it.
I haven’t managed to find those yet. Haven’t looked that hard. One of these days when the mood is right they’ll be where I am.

Try eBay.
I just snagged the other cover version of TLT #1.
Still trying to get #1 and #2 with autographs.
The Quest continues.....
#3 addresses the question of Steven’s “redemption”.
Total brain fart on my part that I didn’t include Zappa on my list... If you get the special DVD edition of Apostrophe, it goes into great depths analyzing the music and the various mixing of all the tracks and sounds. Great stuff!
I mean to get them, also a big Neil Gaiman fan so I’m sure I’ll like them. It’s just a matter of aligning desire and opportunity.
APP was my second concert. Man, that blinking light for 30 or 40 minutes was not fun. I loved the films they showed, the one of the ballerina jumping through the mirror and of course The Hare... A great concert as well.
Direct TV had a Jethro Tull concert last May. We have it on DVR and replay it often.
