Talk about a deliberatly misleading headline! The two apparently threatened the guy with their firearms and he fought back.

I'm betting hispanics and fighting roosters. There's still some of that going on in Texas.

Are you talking about the South Carolina Fighting Gamecocks?

T'ain't just TX nor just Hispanics. Cockfighting has a LONG history among the south Louisianians of French descent. And I just lately heard of a case here in leftist Washington state, no less.

Drive around some "deep rural" areas and watch for little pup-tent shaped pieces of aluminum dispersed evenly across some pasture. If you will/can look closer, you will see a rooster near the "tent" (like a dog on a leash attached to his dog-house).

In S. Louisiana, I saw several of these sites, quite visible from the local roadway.....yet "invisible" to passing law-enforcement types.

WHAT A FRIGGIN’ MISLEADING HEADLINE!!!!!!!

Pardon me for shouting, but a more accurate and informative headline would be:

“Texas Homeowner Kills 2 Who Drew Guns”

The headline makes it sound like some old coot shot a couple of poor Dreamers who inquired about purchasing poultry. Dollars to donuts both Dreamers have rap sheets as long as the Rio Grande.

The rooster might have done the same thing as the duck from this story.

We went to a fertility clinic in NY state that informed us it was illegal to transport semen across the state line. Hate to be the guy who has to enforce such laws.

"What a misleading headline. The headline makes it seem like some gun toting nut went of “half-cocked” (pun intended) and shot two innocent people to death for simply asking him about his roosters."

I just cancelled my local newspaper over this sort of 'headlining.'

It ain't just Texas ... They're spreading their "multi-cultural" values all across the US.

Little Red Rooster - Rolling Stones

I am the little red rooster
Too lazy to crow for day
I am the little red rooster
Too lazy to crow for day

Keep everything in the farm yard
Upset in every way

The dogs begin to bark, hounds begin to howl
The dog begin to bark, hounds begin to howl
Watch out now people
Little red rooster on the prowl

If you’re about to see my little red rooster
Please drive him home
If you’re about to see my little red rooster
Please drive him home

Ain’t had no peace in the farm yard
Since my little red rooster’s been gone

When in Texas, don’t mess with their women, insult their horse, disrespect their flag,,,,,,,, or ask about their Roosters.

God bless Texas.....

I may have had an experience a couple of years ago that was the fist stage of something like this. It was in the summer. I heard a persistent knocking at my front door and went into to the breezeway to see who it might be. I saw four young Hispanic males with an old car and startled them. I took off running to get my weapon and they took off as fast as they could go, probably knowing exactly what I was doing, it being a semi-rural area where most people are armed and nobody tries to hide the fact. It’s the closest I’ve come in my life (I’m over 70) to ever having to display or discharge a firearm in anger. I thank God I had it and the potential perps were smart enough to know what was about to happen.

The sheriff didn't immediately provide additional information on the roosters.

He's probably still trying to get their witness statements.
