Rochester used to be The Diamond City in New York state; had Xerox, Kodak, Bausch Lomb and allied industries; the envy of the land.
With the advent of politically driven diversity and progressive actions it is now just another midsized city with large inner city populations striving to be a pint sized Detroit, et al.

Our rooster is named ‘Phillip A. Crockpot’.

He will.

Investigators say a South Texas homeowner has shot and killed two people who asked about buying roosters then drew guns on the resident.

Definitely a cock-a-doodle-don't.

The barn, stables and outhouse were placed under lock down briefly.

The Rv. Foghorn Leghorn is flying in to provide grief counseling to the chicks and hens that witnessed yet another senseless barnyard shooting.

I'm NYC born and raised, but family moved to Rochester suburbs in 1964 when I was in HS.
A week or two later the riots broke out and it's been in a death spiral ever since. In fact, Roch has the highest (per capita) murder rate in NY state. The inner city is a cesspool.
Section 8 and other PC "share the wealth" plans are now allowing those with their inner-city values to infest the suburbs.

At least on the surface, this sounds like a good example of the advantages of *not* drawing first.

Once they had drawn, their intentions were known, and it was legal to kill them. However, their intentions remained to rob, and then maybe kill, but the farmer’s intentions were to get a weapon and kill them.

From that point, the robbers needed to get to and rob what they wanted. They also had to keep an eye on the farmer, and watch out for anyone else. They also had to be mindful of their means of escape.

They are busy, but the farmer only needs to concentrate on getting a weapon and killing them. A big time advantage.

Once they have brandished their guns, to do anything else that requires two hands, they have to re-holster, re-pocket, or put their gun down. If they want something in the farmer’s vehicle or house, they have to take him with them.

While the farmer preferably wants to use his gun, he can use anything that will work as a weapon. As the OSS taught in World War II, almost anything can be used as a weapon.

Now that’s an interesting variation on the old,

“My car broke down - Can I call my brother-in-law?”

or the

“I really need to use your restroom...RIGHT NOW!”

tricks.

“We’re here to look at your c ks”

I’d have shot ‘em too.

Does that law apply for ANY type of container?

...Including the “original packaging”?

If so, a lot of us are in deep trouble passing through New York.

Another reason to avoid it.

A comedian pointed out that once a grungy looking guy knocked on his door and asked to use his bathroom.

“Uh...no”, he replied.

“But I’ve got explosive diarrhea!”, said the seemingly desperate man.

The comedian then noted that he wondered if the guy actually thought that having explosive diarrhea would somehow persuade the comedian to let him use his toilet.

“Oh, yeah. Come on it. Blow poop all over my bathroom.”

>>We went to a fertility clinic in NY state that informed us it was illegal to transport semen across the state line.<<

Are you supposed to be castrated before you cross the state line?
