What has the Tea Party accomplished? Nothing. Lots of hot air with nothing to show for it.

I would say the Tea Party entity gave voice and infused life into an inanimate, demoralized resistance, such as it was, during the blitzkrieg of 08-10. That was a monumental achievement with tangible favorable election results that mattered then and it does now. And its story is still unfolding with their influence carrying forward in what amounts to a counterrevolutionary role. Only visualize, if you will, our state of affairs if the regime had had no push-back the last five years.

What has the Tea Party accomplished? Ted Cruz and the 2010 mid-terms, among other things.

Same could be said about Rachel Maddow.

The Tea Party got us a majority in the House.
Other than that, what has the Republican party accomplished?
To: 9YearLurker
You are right. We just need more, as they can’t or won’t do anything.

Are you kidding? Obama just does what he wants. What has the House done to stop him? I had high hope for the Tea Party, but they are just a marketing tool now.

Recall that most of obama's cram-downs- especially the ACA, which would never had become law post-midterms-- came before the House tilted to the right in late 2010.
Am I giddy or Pollyannish here? Hardly. Naive I am not. The TP fueled wins are in the context of small skirmishes in a much broader political/cultural war. But you take any victory you can get in long wars. That's the way I see it.
And, no, I am not kidding. Again- just TRY to imagine the landscape absent resistance to Obama from any quarter. BTW, why do you think the TP is so hated and perpetually demonized by the regime? Could it be they frustrate their totalitarian goals? If they were as impotent as you claim, would they merit this reaction, or would ignoring them be more likely?
