The Church’s decision to not punish a child signifies a change in doctrine. Got it.

Zactly. Just because the baby’s legal gardians are creepy, doen’t mean Jesus puts that on the baby. Likewise, just because your parents are saved, It doesn’t mean you are. ;-)
To: massmike
Not gonna happen. The baptism is about the baby ... not you and your “spouse”.

a baby baptized is NOT a marriage legitimatized But aren't the "parents" admonished during the baptism to raise the child according to the Faith? The lesbians ARE brought into this sacrament.

Not gonna happen. The baptism is about the baby ... not you and your spouse. I'll bet that these deviants are still allowed communion, though.

I'll bet that these deviants are still allowed communion, though. Depends on what you mean by "allowed". Not every Eucharistic Minister knows them. When all is said and done, The hot burning coals are on their heads. If by "allowed" you mean the person who gives them Communion knows who they are, then it's reciprocal.

How can the priest administering communion NOT know who they are, after this stunt?

At least one, I believe. It seems to me like a tough pastoral decision.

If they take the kid to Mass every Sunday and teach the child that homosexual acts are sinful, then I have no problem with it.

I guess in this case the biological mother would be considered a single mother in the eyes of the Church, analogous to a sexually active single (heterosexual) mother.

There is no such thing as a “biological mother,” there is just a mother.
