The ancient Egyptians who built the pyramids may have been able to move massive stone blocks across the desert by wetting the sand in front of a contraption built to pull the heavy objects, according to a new study. Water into sand is like pouring water through a sieve. Water will filter through too quickly. The sand will dry out before the sled can traverse the wetted area. The images of desert around the pyramids give the impression that the sand layer is deep and would drain immediately. If this belief is to hold water, they would have had to add fine particles to hold the water at the surface.

First, massive use of Hebrew slaves. And second, why didn’t they just watch “The Ten Commandments”? Pretty much explained there.

"The findings could help researchers understand the behavior of other granular materials, such as asphalt, concrete or coal, which could lead to more efficient ways to transport these resources."Hey!! I have a brilliant idea!!! Maybe someone could put WHEELS under the sleds to make them pull easier.
