” It was the Europeans who invented the LENS and the TELESCOPE.”

Actually the lens and the telescope predate both the muslims and the Europeans. Many lens finds come from pre-dynastic Egypt - much of this seems to be for eyeglasses or eye pieces to correct astigmatism, near and far sightedness.

There is evidence in classical literature that the Romans knew and used telescopes.

The reason we do not find these in well known museums is either they are in an unrelated, obscure museum, or are classified as jewelry, or never put on display.

This is a classic case of “since they didn’t invent it, they could not have had it. Therefore, the object in question is something else”. Pre-European/muslim lens exist by the thousands.

I don’t know if you or the others know the story of the muslim in America during the 18th Century, so here goes:

Once upon a time, there was a man who worshiped in a strange fashion. He traded with the tribes in his area. They didn’t much like him, but that didn’t deter him.

One day this man who worshiped in a strange fashion saw a beautiful Indian princess and desired her as his own.

The Indian princess did not much like the man, and rejected his advances. But, the man persisted, claiming it was his right.

The tribe really did not like his idea and liked the man even less.

It was night when the man stole into the princess’ tent and tried to have his way with her. She would have none of it and soundly thrashed the man. The ruckus awoke the rest of the tribe.

On seeing and hearing what had transpired, the immediately seized him, tied him to a stake and burned him alive.

Afterward, everyone went back to sleep. In the following days no one ever saw anyone who worshiped in a strange fashion ever again.

So began and ended the history of muslims in pre-colonial America.

There once was a land bridge from the old world to Alaska. Plus the continents used to be one big land mass before they separated into many...

"Muslims could have beaten Columbus to the New World. They certainly possessed the technological expertise to have done so...

No, they didn't. The mediterranean Ottomans were using galleys in the era of carracks and caravels. Galleys are totally unsuited for traveling the Atlantic. If anthying, they could have used dhows, but those are used (to the present day) for merchant travel in the Indian ocean.

In fact, Muslims were the reason Columbus was seeking a western route to India.

Christianity transmitted Knowledge through the Dark Ages. Islam squandered Knowledge and CREATED little dark ages.

Actually there's a good argument that the Muslims created The Dark Ages. It was first set forth by a Belgian historian, Henri Pirenne, in a book entitled Mohammed and Charlemagne, and has been reinforced by archaeological discoveries since (cf. Emmett Scott's Mohammed and Charlemagne Revisited).

The key points on which the argument turn are the fact that both the use of gold currency and literacy in Western Europe collapsed, not with the waning of Imperial power in the face of the influx of Germanic tribes into the Empire -- Merovingian France and Visigothic Spain were literate societies to the same degree as the Roman Empire, and the Merovingians minted gold coin that circulated in parallel with the Imperial solidi minted in Constantinople or Ravanne -- but in the 7th century when Islam swept out of the Arabian peninsula, destroyed the Mediterranean as a trade route through piracy and raiding, and cut Western Europe off from the source of papyrus. Literacy became too expensive when the only thing you could write on or read from was parchment, and gold dropped out of circulation as the Muslims collected as much of it as they could through piracy and raiding.

For some reason, we like to trip all over ourselves congratulating this camel-shagging barbarians for accomplishments which were, in fact, WESTERN.

I believe there's evidence to suggest that most, if not all of the so-called "Muslim" scientific achievements were in fact attained by captured Christian slaves, many of whom were forced to convert to Islam.

***Muslims have stopped contributing, to make life easier for the world, since the 12th century.***

From the movie EL CID

“The Prophet has commanded us
to rule the world.
Where in all your land of Spain
is the glory of Allah?
When men speak of you,
they speak of poets...
music makers, doctors, scientists.
Where are your warriors?
You dare call yourselves
sons of the Prophet?
You have become women!
Burn your books.
Make warriors of your poets.
Let your doctors invent
new poisons for our arrows.
Let your scientists
invent new war machines.
And then, kill!
Burn.
Infidels live on your frontiers.
Encourage them to kill each other.
And when they are weak and torn...
I will sweep up from Africa...
and thus the empire of the one God,
the true God Allah...
- Allah is the one God.
- will spread.
First, across Spain.
Then, across Europe.
Then, the whole world!”

Well, if this is true, and apparently it is, these Muslims didn’t contribute anything at all did they. Then my next question is: “WHY ARE THE REST OF THE WORLD SCRAPING AND BOWING TO THESE “BARBARIANS”? The only POWER they have is what we give them.

As RACPE said, the zero was invented in India (and for that matter, in Central America, weird coincidence, eh?) — but on the other hand, a muzzie nicknamed Zero managed to get himself pushed into office in the US by foreign interests.

We had a topic about that around here not long ago. The fact is, the medieval fascism known as Islam has always been anti-intellectual and opposed to open inquiry and even logic. The writing systems of Arabia were banned by the Big Ol’ Mo and replaced with something new; the inscriptions have survived out in the largely uninhabited hinterlands, but were not published or translated until the 19th and 20th centuries. Most of that was lost.

There was a major stash of classical learning that a heretical sect of Christians established in what is now Iran, even then out of the reach of the dominant sect. When the muzzies imposed their rule on Iran, someone with curiousity among them found the archive and was completely jazzed by it.

That doesn’t absolve Islam of its various crimes — contrary to a common piece of agitprop, the Great Library of Alexandria still existed until the muzzies conquered Egypt, and the caliph ordered it burned, because all they needed was in the Koran. The story goes that it took six months to incinerate it all. That was the usual pattern, and in continued as they spread into Europe. The exceptions are just lucky breaks.

The children of the various caliphs and grand poobahs and things were perhaps analogous to the lib larvae of the 19th and early 20th century industrial titans, and could study stuff and get away with it. When the Spanish reconquered Iberia — it took nearly 800 years — they found the libraries on the former occupiers to be eye opening. A surviving copy of the old Roman Empire law digest changed the practice of law throughout Europe (it hadn’t made a dent in the despotic Islamic world); various Greek and Roman works of learning came through via Arabic translations, and there were original works building on the classical foundation.

And the muzzies had done nothing with it.

Lepper wrote about this AFTER the repudiation of Obama, but at least he finally did so. Previously there was a power vacuum. The academics who were either going along to get along or were just useful idiots before seem to have started to come along. The Boston Marathon bombing and the ISIS beheadings of the lefty journalists seems to have sobered them up.
