"Anyone in any walk of life who is content with mediocrity is untrue to himself and to American tradition."
Even more revelant today.

Thank you for that. I found it very moving and inspirational and am copying it for future reference. Cheers, and God Bless.

Marked.
And consider what today’s government so viciously attacks with all heart.

While viewing the web page, hit [Ctrl] and [C] at the same time on your keyboard.
Click “Save”.
Simple.

I sort of meant a reproduction of the pocket prayer that Patton ordered up for issue to the troops.

I think that would be a Collector’s item by now, assuming you could even find one. Might be easiest to simply copy it and order a small print job from some place like VistaPrint.com for instance. I think they are the company that regularly runs specials on the telly for 500 cards for x.xx dollars. They also do other sizes for similar prices.

Thank you for this very inspiring article, so timely.
Wondering do we have any Gen Patton's in our Military today.
In the vain of Gen. Patton are these:
Gen.Tommy Ray Franks ret., Lt.Col. Allen West, Lt. Gen. Russel L. Honore ret. aka "Stuck on Stupid" in NO, Katrina.
Special Mention of Gen. Norman Schwarzkopf decs.,
Do we have any such men in command that are active duty at this time, or could be if left alone to do their job.

Some years ago J Peterman was selling a reproduction of the GI winter wool shirt. In one of the flap pockets of each shirt was a reproduction of the original Patton’s Prayer card. I never bought one cause I don’t like wool shirts. Regret that I didn’t.

I’m pretty sure they took word for word Patton’s speech that they used in the opening of the movie “Patton”....
In college, I had a recording of it and would play it every now and then out my window in the “bowl” made by our dorm buildings just for inspiration...
Favorite line: “We’ll go through them like crap through a goose...”
To: matginzac
Oh, and Patton was a hero to my mother...who survived Nazi-occupied France during WW II....
