There should be =) I only know some Spanish
But now we have a weapon that no Muslim can compete against......HASHTAG!
I see candles. Like after 9/11
You dolt

FWIW:
Here is thread reporting that there are CNN reports that there are people fleeing some of the vigil sites... perhaps these are magnets for another attack?
People have a need to grieve but... I'm with you.
I see pretty much the same stuff we did for 9-11. People mourn, it’s natural, and not weakness.
I prefer watching the other guys holding candlelight vigils.
Makes you wonder if these people even read the lyrics to their own national anthem!
I think the thing that frustrates many of us is that after Charlie Hebdo, these people just decided to pretend there is no real problem.
Now they got hit again, and harder, and hopefully this time they move past the symbolic stuff and makes some serious changes.
Don’t Catholics wear some sort of scarf on their head when mourning?
Back in the old days, (60’s-70’s) I recall my mom and other women wearing head scarfs to keep the wind from messing with their “beehive” type hair do. An example would be, Flo from Mel’s Diner in “Alice”.
How can one know if it’s a muslin head gear or just protection from the wind and cold?
What the HELL do you mean “dolt”? Are you among those who think candles, flowers, singing “Imagine” and “You’ve Got a Friend” will stop the savages? Candles and flowers were just as stupid and meaningless after 9/11 as they are now and ever will be. They are a victim’s feel-good hollow gesture that won’t stop o e single attack. Our enemies have no ROE and do not abide by any treaties on how to conduct “civilized” warfare.
Explain yourself and try to get beyond ad hominem attacks.
So when do people finally get mad and demand their leaders stop the headlong rush to suicide? I’ve been watching the “grieving process” and “healing process” since the Achille Lauro, Munich Olympics massacre, and TWA Flight 707. Our enemies scoff at flowers and candles as a sign of weakness.
It’s not either or. People do both. Especially when you’re talking masses of people. Munich certainly got very well avenged AND mourned. Our enemies are stupid, they aren’t signs of weakness, they’re signs of HUMANITY. People always beat animals eventually. Ol’ Yeller always gets the same fate.
Unfortunately it is becoming a feel good substitute for action. -Tom
Not really. It’s only been 2 days. It was almost a month before we invaded Afghanistan, and a couple of years before we went after Iraq. Give it time.
Right after our 9-11 the French were quick to come up with "We are all Americans now".
But when push came to shove, and action was required the French wouldn't help us in Afghanistan, and worse French President Jaques Chiraq went around the world telling our potential coalition members not to help us either.
Hollande was elected by a 90% French Muslim vote for him which put him over the top for his win, and to me is unlikely to take anything more than a token stand against the Muslims.
As you say give it time- but I am not expecting a serious meaningful response to the Islamic threat from France's Pres. Hollande. -Tom
Well it’s not like France has a great army. We were better off without them in Afghanistan, and the Iraq situation was convoluted, and of course by that time we’d lost all the good will.
Israel is working on the investigation. Russia is bombing ISIS already. And people are starting to change their tune. Reality is a big ship, it turns slowly. And it turns better on multiple incidents than it does on single.
People need to remember what the 70s were like. This really isn’t new territory here. We’ve been through this before. FRANCE has been through this before.
There ought to be pictures of dozens of mozlums strung up from lamp posts.
The French are pathetic.
