Yesterday was the 74th Anniversary of Pearl Harbor. How would it have worked out if FDR had got up before the Joint Session of Congress and announced this...?
"The attack on Pearl harbor is just an isolated event by a few extremists who don't represent the real Japan! Whatever we do, don't bomb Japan, invade their space, or call them "Nips". All it will do is play into their hands, increase their recruiting, make us lose credibility in the eyes of the world - and besides, that's not who we are!"
