The late penalty that doomed the Bengals was provoked by a Steelers coach illegally on the field

Not a bad point, but I recently learned that the Bengals signed Pacman Jones and Vontez Burfict against Marvin Lewis’s objections. Both were and remain well-known thugs and Lewis wanted no part of them.

What troubled me were the things thrown on the field, including some batteries, one of which hit Roethlisberger while he was being carted off the field.

Same thing happened in Dallas with Greg Hardy. Jason Garrett did not want him, but had no choice. If I were Garrett, I would have walked....His stock price as a head coach was never higher than it was at the end of last season, and he could have sat out a few years and been at the top of the list for coaches. Now, he's going to have a hard time building his reputation back up.

They don’t call them the Bungles for nothing. They earned it. Also, as an aside, they have the ugliest uniforms in the league. OK on Halloween but no other time.

I am thinking an underdog will beat the Patriots in the SB, like it was New Orleans “time” a fer years after Katrina.

Dallas has won too many, so the screwed them last year and they will let another heartwarming story boost the ratings this year.

AS I have posted before, I have seen Dallas get beaten by the refs against Pittsburgh in the 70s and against San Francisco in the 90s.

“Replays showed that it could have been incidental contact, as Swann seemed to run into Barnes. The penalty gave Pittsburgh a first down at Dallas’ 23-yard line.”
