Good for Beastmode. We always hear stories about players blowing through their money or having it stolen. Responsible players need to mentor new players.

Hmm...Marshawn is no dummy. More power to him. I think I might be able to retire on $49 million...
To: C19fan
He does radio commercials for a local plumbing company in Seattle.

Yes, he makes around $5 million in endorsements each year, and that’s what he’s living on.

What did he pay income taxes with?
I wish these articles would disclose what the income taxes would be with the standard deduction. People come away thinking he has $49.7M.

Richard Sherman is another interesting person. Grew up in Compton, with a mother and father who rewarded him for good grades. He has a photographic memory and an MBA from Stamford (I think that’s the right college). He made the league minimum when he was drafted and now makes bank on endorsements. He’s cocky, yeah, but I think a good portion of that is an act, and he also is one of the few black people to actually come out and say that black on black crime is a big issue that the black community needs to take care of.

Mama Lynch gets paid to do commercials, too! LOL!
To: chae
Sherman is not THAT concerned about black crime. Otherwise, he’d get married to mother of his two kids. Bad example for inner city kids.
To: C19fan
Same thing with Gronk in New England....has not touched team paychecks.
To: chae
An important part of Sherman's story is that he grew up in Compton but apparently came from a good family. He often recounts stories of his father waking up every day before the crack of dawn -- including holidays -- to drive a garbage truck for the City of Los Angeles.
Even with all the money his son makes, he still gets up at 3:45 AM and goes to work every day.
