Before Utah, Glenn Beck was going on and on about how Cruz was the fulfillment of some Mormon prophesy about how he’ll save the Constitution.
Cruz’s own father calls him an anointed king.
Going by the Biblical definition of Messiah, ie: ‘anointed one,’ usually in the context of an anointed king then yes, Cruz’s supporters are calling him as Messiah.
And he seems perfectly fine with that.
That’s the kind of sin that got Herod eaten by worms.
