TXnMA: "bottom line -- it will cost $$ to follow this rabbit trail much further..."

Thanks for the post, that's also as far as I got on it.
There are some examples of more advanced stone-age technology dated to unexpectedly old ages.
I agree they should be examined very carefully.

DannyTN: "What’s not believable is that man was making tools 1 million years ago, and yet his population and accomplishments remained extremely small for 1,000,000 years."

Here's how I think of it: Genesis 2:7 says

"From the dust of the ground" -- mud to man, that's evolution, took many millions of years.

"breathed the breath of life" -- that's the moment circa 6,000 years ago when pre-humans became human.

Well, if anyone knows deep dirt about Vin Diesel, I don't want to know it, because he's the one who gives me hope that America is still sane gender-appreciation wise. If ScarJo said "Oh he's nothing compared to LeoDeCrappio..." GET OUT!!......If a bag lady said "Oh TG for VD; one man left in cinema"...I spray Lysol & put on the blindfold...ENTER!!

Also approved of Daniel Craig as a James Bond choice...anything where our culture steps away from this andro-metro model they've tried to market in action movies past as a badass...the crazy thing is, I think some white kids believed that nonsense like it's a physical law of the universe...aided and abbetted by these 100lb Milla Jovovichs throwing linebackers around like chew toys......I can think of formerly "baaad" young people who were just AMAZED their mouth walked them right into kicking and flailing in a much older uglier trickier person's fool snatching fingers...and before their eyes roll up the gurgling message is easily understood "This isn't fair this isn't fair I'm supposed to kick your ass I hate you daddy......*" Another snowflake comes crashing out of his Fd Up LibbyFantasy headfirst into the real world...SCORE: Real World 3,671,548,117, Snowflakes 0.

;) As you can see by the hour, I wake up crazy, I don't need to warm up LOL

P. S. : Milla Jovovich, you're forgiven :)

I’ll have to part company on Danny Craig. He may look buff, but he’s a beta male and more PC than Alan Alda. As a Bond fan, I viscerally opposed his casting (I wanted Clive Owen, who looks the part). Craig looks like a Red Grant type (albeit without the macho ultra-male swagger of the late great Robert Shaw, whom we lost just as he finally reached his deserved superstar status post-”Jaws.” See him in “Black Sunday” for a great performance), but totally lacking in charm or emotion (warmth). Physically, he might look appealing to women, but that’s as far as it goes.

I complained his predecessor was bad (as I called him, Pirs BonBons), but for the opposite reason. He was so smug and self-absorbed, you just wanted to slap him (he was still playing “Remington Steele”). After Connery, my favorite was Timothy Dalton, who had the charm, panache, depth and acting ability. Alas, he only got to do two films. I even liked Lazenby (whose antics post-filming and allowing himself to fall under the spell of a Svengali type cost him a 2nd film and a guaranteed role for the next 25 years). Roger Moore could do better (witness “For Your Eyes Only”), but his devolved into slapstick and camp, and he was still playing “The Saint.”

Yeah, too many kids (and not kids) see these little actors in action films tossing people around and it’s a joke. For some perspective, Sean Connery, no wee man himself, was seriously injured filming the fight scene with wrestler Harold “Oddjob” Sakata in the Fort Knox climax. Sakata looked like he was made of solid granite.

BTW: It sucks your thread even got highjacked, because “Forbidden Archaeology” is meat for my inquisitive mental dog...hammers in coal seams, marks of pneumatic tools on monoliths destined for ancient monuments, mile deep mines in S. Africa encountering evidence miners had been there before, in a time when residents were supposedly cave men rassling with Ice Age fauna...Sumerian texts...real reasons for worldwide pyramid network...genetically altered animals and plants and humans in ancient history...”evolution” may have been a mad genetic scientist from???!!!...Brainsplode ;)

If you ever run across sny hard science to support a theory of mine.....long story short, studying the sagas/histories/old protoGermanic-Norse stories......they came from a land in Turkey they called Eden in Turkey, ruled by the goddess Idunn who gave eternal life from her golden apples...Odin hung on Yggdrasil the “Tree of Life” leading to nine worlds, the Jewish Kabbalah’s “Tree of Life” connected ten celestial spheres, plus the Philistines/Phoenicians were supposed to be seafarers w red hair and “worshippers of groves”...connected to Troy...survivors N into cental Europe b4 Germania/Scandinavia...I just wonder...is it WHITE SKIN that is the “Mark of Cain?” And that therefore the prophecy of the “Lion lying down with the lamb” is not Kumbayah, but a warrior centric Nordic civ (USA) achieving world peace in an end time defense of Israel? Trump already compared to a lion? Cain’s sin of killing his brother is forgiven when the “prodigal son comes home” and saves his brother who “stayed in his father’s field?”

OK, it’s crazy, but one last thing...bearing that in mind, reread God’s curse on Cain:

Genesis 4:11 Now you are under a curse and driven from the ground, which opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood from your hand. 12 When you work the ground, it will no longer yield its crops for you. You will be a restless wanderer on the earth.”

13 Cain said to the Lord, “My punishment is more than I can bear. 14 Today you are driving me from the land, and I will be hidden from your presence; I will be a restless wanderer on the earth, and whoever finds me will kill me.”

15 But the Lord said to him, “Not so[e]; anyone who kills Cain will suffer vengeance seven times over.” Then the Lord put a mark on Cain so that no one who found him would kill him. 16 So Cain went out from the Lord’s presence and lived in the land of Nod,[f] east of Eden.

17 Cain made love to his wife, and she became pregnant and gave birth to Enoch. Cain was then building a city, and he named it after his son Enoch.

Now jump to:

Genesis 5:21 When Enoch had lived 65 years, he became the father of Methuselah. 22 After he became the father of Methuselah, Enoch walked faithfully with God 300 years and had other sons and daughters. 23 Altogether, Enoch lived a total of 365 years. 24 Enoch walked faithfully with God; then he was no more, because God took him away.

TOOK HIM AWAY, Not to Heaven...to the end point, of Scandinavia.

The Vikings said they were driven from their homeland Idunn/Eden. Their religion involved a promise of returning to Eden where they would be granted eternal life by Idunn. Eden has TWO TREES in the middle of the Garden...Tree of Life (Jewish race leading to the Messiah)...Tree of The Knowledge of Good and Evil (Yggdrasil, that Odin hangs upon 9 days & nights to receive mystical insight)...Viking records of the lineage of the Kings of Norway lists Odin as the first king, who lived to almost 900 years, then died of tuberculosis. The Bible says Enoch’s son Methuselah lived to 969 years and then died.

I’m going to stop there, because that’s plenty. Maybe one more little thing.

When Christians encountered the Germanic pagans, they inauired about their religion, and the Germans’ answer was, “heathen”. The Roman Christians jnterpreted this as “people of the heath”. Well, “heath” isn’t a German word.

Heathen is from the proto-Germanic “hei-edan” later in German abbreviated to “heiden” which Roman Christians heard as “heathen”.

The “hei-edan” were “hieing to”, an archaic word mesning “going to”, “Edan” or “Eden”. What is your religion? We are pilgrims going to Eden.

And Asgard = As (east) gaard (home) = Our Home inthe East, where the Gods eat the Golden Apples of Idunn, and live forever.

We could be the Children of Cain, the lost Tribe of Israel. On a holy mission to return home. To be the Lion guarding the Lamb.

And that’s why the whole world hates us snd wants to stop us.

Am I more crazy now? Or less?

Hail Odin :)

Glad my Vin Diesel illusion is still intact ;)

When Roger Moore became 007 there was a debate, Connery vs Moore, who was the “better” 007, and it fell along gender lines too. Women like Moore and thought Connery was arrogant/smug towards females, Moore was more charming. Guys seemed to prefer Connery, as did I, and I was pressed to defend my choice, my defense was, if either agent were chasing a spy, and the path to nabbing him led through a muckfield of kneedeep pigshit, Roger Moore would try to find a way around it, Sean Connery wouldn’t even slow down. Man were HS girls snobby back then. ;)

I hate those “Ancient Alien” shows, they drive me crazy.

The only thing I turn off quicker is Hillary!

We see that sequence much the same -- with "formed" (a lengthy process) -- as opposed to created") being the operative word.

As a physical chemist, I'm fond of posting a photo of the Periodic Table of the (naturally occurring) Eleements -- and labeling it "The Dust of the Ground"... '-)

As for "the breath of life" -- I end that line with "ensouled" -- and pretty much agree with your 6k years -- which the Bible covers quite well.

I don’t care for the History channel ones, they’re bait and BS.

But there are others that raise very interesting questions, although often I don’t agree with their conclusions.

Here’s one that I’ve watched several times, the conclusions are WAY out there for most folks...but it’s the strange facts and clues that have (as yet) no other explanation that entertain me. “What if...nahhh no way” ;)

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=pe6DN1OoxjE. If you like strange facts that don’t fit into history, you make laugh at his ideas but scratch your head coming up with alternative explanations. Everybody loves a mystery.

Thanks, it's a key point.
Paleontology shows us pre-humans, archaic humans and physically modern humans.
Imho, the first mentally modern humans began when God breathed the breath of life into Adam "and he became a living soul", as King James put it.

It's a reason why I say the Bible is not at war against science.

I see zero conflict between Scripture and science. Only ignorance-limited folk who try to create a dichotomy to bolster their God-belittling mis-interpretations of Scripture create that problem for themselvs...

If you believe in God, our Creator, how can honestly studying His creation -- with the best tools he has equipped us to develop -- be wrong?.

~~~~~~~~
My take is that the pre-existing populace (that supplied spouses for the offspring of Adam and Eve) were fully, <>mentally human. BUT, they were not spiritually<.I> complete or "in the image of God" - because God is Spirit.
Only Adam, Eve, and their descendants are spiritually "in the image and likeness of God". The rest of Earth's inhabitants were merely "geneticaly-compatible breeding stock"... '-)
