Well, that’s our Julia.

To be fair, though, Julia started out teaching cooking for a very different generation and time.

That looks good, and very easy - and it will get some decent veggies down the crew ;-)

I have read this about cold potatoes, Pelham, and touted it to my low-carber husband when I’m sick to death of no potatoes :-)

That looks wonderful, especially today - very hot here!

Do you make lemon curd, or buy it?

I’ve never even seen it in the local stores! though Dickinson makes it; and I’ll look for it.

But I do like your recipe!

There’s still time to celebrate World Chocolate Day. I just ate some chocolate with caramel and sea salt from Poland.
I figure if there was no Poland/Jan Sobieski there would be no Europe...although, it seems Europe may be self destructing.

World Chocolate Day, sometimes referred to as International Chocolate Day. It has been stated that 7 July 2016 marks 466 years since chocolate was introduced to Europe.”.

Oh! “How do I love thee, Chocolate; let me count the ways...”

Lately, I sneak dark chocolate Hershey chips that are meant for baking cookies, out of the bag.

I like my chocolate ‘raw’ :-)

I see Julia’s old friend, Jacque Pepin, has a tv show on PBS. With his daughter, Claudine - who is now 50! Good show, he’s funny and a stern taskmaster. And such an expert with knives.

Also the Great British Bake Off it back.

OOH, nice! Nigella does nice coffee no-churn and also salted caramel no-churn that I make on occasion.

Nigella’s no-churn is one her most popular recipes. I love that she can make recipes so easy and still great-tasting. She really has a knack for that.

I see by your other post-—the Brit Bake-Off is back.Even though the judges are so persnickety, I love the eager chefs dedicated to making their dishe the best..

My problem with the baking show - which features the most amazing bakers - is the two comediennes who are kind-hearted but not very funny. Also, Paul Hollywood is creepy as is his porno-ish name. I do like Mary Berry who is obviously as famous and beloved as Delia is in GB. But it’s a great show and I love where it is filmed and being able to go into the homes of ordinary Brits to see how they live.

This site has some great recipes. I really like Big Daddy’s grilled blue cheese and bacon potato salad:

This site also has good looking summer recipes for sides. I am not tried them, but plan to do so. They look very fresh and colorful.
