I cannot recall what it was, but the first 1967 Z-28 had a ridiculously low factory horsepower rating, apparently for insurance reasons. A buddy had one, said it had little torgue, but really howled.

Blondie was originally a punk band but punk did not pay the bills. Pop and disco did. If you have ever watched the video for heart of glass it’s obvious the band is bored.

It was SOP with the big 3 back then. Some years ago a few GM prototypes from the 50’s that were supposed to be crushed were found in a junk yard near Flint.

Never owned a Camaro. I owned a 1971 Pontiac Firebird 350 for a while. It was a piece of crap but the chicks liked it.

Still being done today 64ssa, however they are trying to go to “virtual prototypes” as the cost per unit is quite hefty, and they have cut down the numbers of prototypes and mules dramatically, with CAD/CAM/FEA/FEMA etc and “other” cost reducing strategies...

My first car, a 74 Type LT....dark blue vinyl white top beauty.....big feathered roach clip hanging from the front mirror....Van Halen cranking and a few speeding tickets....I’ve grown up since then, but boy it was fun!!!!!
