I have one. Pretty cool but it eats batteries.
They have a very nice eotech exps 3-4 w/g33 3X magnifier
Certainly pricey but looks good for CQB, offhand, and can reach out and tap you with the magnifier.
What do you all think?
This would be mounted on a .308 with a 22” barrel cut to 19.5 and fitted with a juggernaut brake
DMS optic is a Nightforce NXS w/sunshade. I think...
They’re distinctive looking hardware, and easily recognized. My 2 EOTechs and Trijicon ACOG are late 2002/early 2003 vintage, right before the Iraq War started, and dealers were being asked by DoD to return them for US Army use, since neither company could supply all requested. Since, I’ve added Leupold and SigSauer glass to the line-up.
.308 for CQB is considerable overkill. You would be punching through every wall in the building. Real McCoy EOTech's would hold up very well and the 3x mag would be an excellent choice to vary between 0x "up close" and distance shooting.
You simply cannot go wrong with EOTech. The 552/512 is the thriftier choice of all of their models and can use AA batteries.
The newer XPS series uses CR123, which are more expensive but last quite a while.
Good catch. Might be. Hard to tell when the thing is painted... they both look alike.
Don’t rule out Aimpoint and the Israeli Mepro/Meprolight product line.
Are you a former sniper? You speak like some I've talked to in the past...lol
I agree. I'm going for one weapon to cover multiple scenarios.
I want a solid battle weap to cover close and medium and also capable of making a longer shot than a .223
No. I have no military service. But I used to routinely shoot in NRA competition, years ago.
Vortex makes some nice mid range red dot sights.
I have a Vortex Spitfire. Straight 3x like the ACOG.their bigger scopes are good too. Lifetime warranty.
