some(all?) teams make pre-season part of the season ticket holder package. You are stuck with it.

I am old enough to remember how the Press Drummed up absolute Hatred for Steve Garvey for Daring to Cheat on his Wife Cindy, They CRUCIFIED him on TV EVERY DAY for a Long Long Time, Today it is a REQUIREMENT to even be considered as a Team Member.

Part of me understands the lure of the stadium, but I really like my big screen, my refrigerator, and my climate controlled house.

Beyond that, college football is every bit as much fun as is the NFL. The NFL is not needed at all.

They must have had something else against Garvey. He clearly wasn’t the only baseball player who ever cheated on his wife that they knew about.

I am actually glad baseball is now much less popular with casual fans than NFL. Hopefully it can keep flying relatively under the radar.

Commercial sports teams have always been about making money.

That is why they exist.

If the NFL valued money, they would put a stop to the likes of Kaepernick and his fellow idiots disrespecting the country during the anthem. If many fans walk over this, it will cost them big time $$$!!!

Only a limited number of folks can afford the ticket prices at current levels to begin with. If many fans walk over this cr@p, the NFL will lose big time!!!

Speaking of college football, the local UConn Huskies are desperate to convince the Big Twelve that they should be invited.

So, of course, being the liberals they are, their main technique is to lie about attendance and pretend they have major local support for their lousy team.

This week (after charging their season ticket holders full boat) they gave away 10,000 seats for free on the Internet.

Even with that they couldn’t fill the stadium!

Now there are some season ticket-holders that should be angry!

As for the NFL season ticket-holders, I don’t care if the NFL charges them a million dollars a season. If someone is stupid enough to pay it, fine.

nobody is forcing them to buy tickets....it that's how they want to waste their money, let them...

I like football but preseason is silly and a waste of time....winning the game is not the goal...playing different players is...

- 2 preseason games
- 18 game regular season
- Mid-season bye for all teams after 9 games (host a little league or a marquee college game for the bye week)
- Playoff bye for all playoff teams
- Eliminate a week before the Super Bowl
- Eliminate the Pro Bowl (Just pick the players)

Yeah, where’s this author been. Isn’t this (preseason tickets priced the same as regular season) also done in the NBA and NHL?

I'm just the opposite. I don't find college football interesting.

As a foot note. This year The Chicago Bears reduced the price of 2 pre-season games for season ticket holders by 40%. They jacked up the 8 regular season game price by 10%.

America, what a country.

UConn is too far away for the Big 12.

If I’m the Big 12, I know for a fact that they are gone the moment the ACC or Big 10 expands or when the Big East again includes football.

I watch the NCAA for offense. True defense takes time and experience to learn and college kids for the most part don’t have it.

I watch the NFL for defense. NFL offense is boring. “He’s in the pocket. He throws.”
