Not exactly sure about the specific Trump tweets that the story covers but shadow-banning is absolutely real AND is being used against prominent Trump Supporters. Scott Adams (Dilbert creator) was recently shadow-banned. The user can’t tell, but if they have savvy followers, they can figure it out. His followers told him, he verified it was happening (publicly) and magically it was reversed. He even blogged about it:
