About four million (give or take) people will miss them.
They’ll get over it.

The standard definition channel for CNN is still working, even though it was picking up the golf channel for a bit earlier.
To: NYer
Only HD channels are off. DD are still available.

Rush Limbaugh has been talking about it on his program. Personally, I believe this is either a hack or outright censorship.

People still get their news from TV? I thought we were an advanced society-—
To: NYer
I haven't been able to reach any HD channels all day.
I attributed it to AT&T taking over DirecTV and doing what they do best - screwing things up.

Don’t try a reset. Looks like it would be better not to try a reset on receiver, you then lose all channels. Looks like there is a way to unhide sd channels for a work around or something.

Go to 359 and watch Fox Business, it’s usually better anyway. Love Varney and Dobbs!

Turned on tv to see what’s going on. No Fox news, but getting Fox business—MSNBc, of course!

Personally, I believe this is either a hack or outright censorship.Hack maybe - censorship extremely unlikely - anyone trying that at AT&T would get kicked out the door. They don't care all that much about politics; what they care about is something called the Net Promoter Score, and any service disruption lowers that and any lowering of it affects the annual bonuses.
