I’ll give Trump credit, he’s a heck of a lot more forgiving than I would be. I still haven’t forgotten the speech Romney gave back last spring where he basically called Trump every name in the book and said that the party had to rally to make sure he never got the nomination.

Wow, after what Mitt did. Maybe bringing in Cruz too. One has to compare this to Lincoln bringing into his cabinet Salmon Chase, William Seward and Edward Bates who all fought for the nomination ahead of Lincoln and were more or less openly hostile to him. Lincoln figured they were the right guys and that they had strong influence over various wings of the party but it was a crisis and it would help him govern to have them so he’d just have to figure out how to manage them all. A bold move, and I don’t know if it’s been done since on that scale. This would be akin to it.

I agree with that. We have to let him make decisions.
Already, by choosing Pence and not Bush, and by having Bannon dominate his strategy (and not James Baker), he is doing better than Reagan. And it was appropriate then for us to let Reagan make his decisions.
That said...I hope he just is nice to Romney then sends him on his way out of TRUMP TOWER with nothing.
