I think it would be kind of a fun way to screw with the media and their Trump Tower stakeout. Anyone who is well known at all should be asked to randomly show up at Trump Towers in the next few weeks for “an interview”

Come in, stay for an hour, collect your gift card for dinner at Ruth’s Chris and go home. say nothing to the press but blow their minds.

Romneys speech inspired me to get up out of my chair and go vote for Trump early within one hour of hearing that despicable hit job.

I will accept your humble “I’m sorry” and watch as you eat your big helping of crow....

Or not if you have no honor and don’t believe in honesty....

On second thought, It just ain’t going to happen.

Trump knows exactly what he wants and knows exactly how to make deals. He has nothing to gain by being punitive to the never Trumpers and everything to gain by coopting a few of the more talented ones, as long as they kiss the ring and can be trusted.

People here are far too hard on Romney the man. He is a good, talented and trustworthy man. If he can get on board with Trump’s goals, he is like the best of the never Trumpers, and the one with the most standing. And if this is going to work, the appointment must be proportionate to that standing: State, Treasury, perhaps Energy but most likely Treasury.

It would also show that Trump puts his goals above his grievances, that he can trust the other side and in return that he can be trusted.

I am in favor. I know that will make me unpopular here, but that one appointment of Romney to Treasury would leave Trump’s critics speechless for a time and Romney would do a great job there.

Harry Reid is a high ranking Mormon.

Ya REALLY wanna chance ANOTHER one?

Ezra Taft Benson rose high in Gov't power at one time in this country...

In conclusion let us summarize this grand key, these “Fourteen Fundamentals in Following the Prophet”, for our salvation depends on them.

1. The prophet is the only man who speaks for the Lord in everything.
2. The living prophet is more vital to us than the standard works.
3. The living prophet is more important to us than a dead prophet.
4. The prophet will never lead the church astray.
5. The prophet is not required to have any particular earthly training or credentials to speak on any subject or act on any matter at any time.
6. The prophet does not have to say “Thus Saith the Lord,” to give us scripture.
7. The prophet tells us what we need to know, not always what we want to know.
8. The prophet is not limited by men’s reasoning.
9. The prophet can receive revelation on any matter, temporal or spiritual.
10. The prophet may advise on civic matters.
11. The two groups who have the greatest difficulty in following the prophet are the proud who are learned and the proud who are rich.
12. The prophet will not necessarily be popular with the world or the worldly.
13. The prophet and his counselors make up the First Presidency—the highest quorum in the Church.
14. The prophet and the presidency—the living prophet and the First Presidency—follow them and be blessed—reject them and suffer.

I testify that these fourteen fundamentals in following the living prophet are true. If we want to know how well we stand with the Lord then let us ask ourselves how well we stand with His mortal captain—how close do our lives harmonize with the Lord’s anointed—the living Prophet—President of the Church, and with the Quorum of the First Presidency.

Ezra Taft Benson

Ezra Taft Benson

Ezra Taft Benson (August 4, 1899 – May 30, 1994) was the thirteenth president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) from 1985 until his death and was United States Secretary of Agriculture for both terms of the presidency of Dwight D. Eisenhower.

In 1953, Benson was appointed U.S. Secretary of Agriculture by President Eisenhower. Benson accepted this position with the permission of Church President David O. McKay and therefore served simultaneously in the United States Cabinet and in the LDS Church's Quorum of the Twelve Apostles.

Mitt can be useful in some capacity.

Hewers of wood and carriers of water will be in demand soon.

Ambassador to the moon - I am certain he would get along with the Quakers there.

“ ‘Inhabitants of the Moon are more of a uniform size than the inhabitants of the Earth, being about 6 feet in height. They dress very much like the Quaker Style & are quite general in Style, or the one fashion of dress. They live to be very old; comeing [sic] generally, near a thousand years.' This is the description of them as given by Joseph the Seer, and he could ‘See' whatever he asked the Father in the name of Jesus to see.”

- Prophet Joseph Smith, Jr., in Journal of O.B. Huntington, Book 14, p. 166
