Demonstrably false. The political realignments were far more complicated than your simplistic and incorrect claims throughout this thread.
Stennis and Whitten were not Conservatives by the Reagan era. Stennis earned a 17% and 33% rating in 1987 and 1988 from the ACU. That’s pretty left-wing.
Whitten was even worse. He earned a 13% and 20% in those same two years. The McGovernites and Watergate Babies moved these guys hard-left in order for them to keep power, along with Jimmy Carter. Contrast in 1971, Stennis and Eastland each got a 94% Conservative rating. Whitten got 100% !
“Never send a boy to do a man’s job.” - Stennis on Haley Barbour, 1982
It depends on whether she lied to her husband about Emmitt to make her husband go after Emmitt, or If she lied to the court after Emmitt’s murder to save her husband. Either way she’s a liar in light of her new revelation. Her husband was definitely a murderer and never should have been aquitted.
>> Fix that and then you can be snotty to southerners anybody <<
But until that happens, mind your manners.
>> . . . with nary a fight but deem yourself superior to us. <<
I guess you weren't around in 1969 when the city was under martial law. Saved a lot of Guardsmen from being deployed to never-never land.
Personally, I wasn't here then either. But I did my time in the fire department for the 1964 riots in Rochester. Carried a hydrant wrench, bro. Where were you then!
When's the last time you guarded a washing machine down there? Obviously they need your attention, if you're very particular.
That’s interesting
I am fifth generation Mississippian
The darkest state
Race relations were better under segregation than now stats wise in every area except maybe black college grads but I’m unsure about that
I realize that’s inflammatory
I’ve lived it from being in a moderate civil rights family when it was dangerous thru the decay and dependence to now where my hometown resembles Johannesburg
I’ve given up
One day it will all have to be settled a hard way and it will be awful
I’ve watched race since I first became cognizant about the time of the JFK shooting
From Jackson to Nola to ,Manhattan to Sierra Leone to Kingston to Rio de Janiero to port au prince to Miami all places I’ve lived
Same theme worldwide but nobody faces it.....literally very similar dysfunction in all those dark places and no one talks honest about civilizational group lag
Instead we focus on white paternalism as though blacks succeed if we do the liberal thing or fail if we do the oppressive thing
Blacks rise and fall on our whim....that is the true racism to me and it infects both ends of the political spectrum
Atlanta....I’m ambivalent....she ain’t as sweet as she used to be but Buckhead and Roswell and Alpharetta are still cool. But south of downtown is injun country for sure
It’s the capital of black America
Memphis and New Orleans are much worse
South Chicago too obviously
My best pal is in old Roswell
It’s great
Women...8-9.9 babes common
Can’t beat that
One thing is clear today, too few (and almost none in power) want a true and frank discussion on race relations beyond the typical “blame Whitey” bullshit. Blacks aren’t where they’re at today because of the slavery of old, the usual excuse, but because they’ve been re-enslaved to the bondage of welfare and the big gubmint state, where fathers are nowhere to be found, and promiscuous women without moral guidance are raising children to continue the cycle of destruction: boys for prison (or worse), girls for more illegitimacy. All of this done for the purpose of keeping them on the Democrat plantation.
Until that cycle is broken with the bulk of the underclass, nothing will ever change, and the entirety of the Democrat party cannot allow it to.
Thanks for sharing. More later, FRiend. The woods are lovely, dark, and deep: but I have promises to keep, and miles to go before I sleep. More later . . . time to get ready to met with the Lord later on this day.

Wow. Thanks for the link!
Quoting Ezra Pound, from your link:
Till was hung yesterday
for murder and rape with trimmings
Crazy Ezra did have a way with words!
According to Alice Kaplan, professor of literature and history at Duke:
Emmett was nearing his 4th birthday when Louis Till was hanged by the U.S. Army in Italy for rape and murder. Louis Till spent the last month of his life in a disciplinary center with hundreds of African-American soldiers and very few white detainees. One of the only white prisoners was the poet Ezra Pound, confined to a 6-by-6-foot cage as he awaited a treason trial for his fascist radio broadcasts. Pound referred to Till in the epic poem he was writing as "St. Louis Till."Only a man as disturbed as Pound could have made Till into a literary saint. Before the war, Till nearly strangled his wife, who took out a court order to keep him away. A judge gave Till a choice between jail and the Army: He chose the Army. He was a private in a port battalion, a member of the racially segregated Army that restricted the majority of its black soldiers to service units where they worked as menial laborers, moving the supplies that guaranteed military victory in Europe.
Strangely, the Army did not properly inform the Tills of the cause of Louis's death until about the time of Emmett's death. Thus, he did not know of this aspect of his heritage.
But James Eastland and John Stennis were only too happy to learn the story!
Well said
