It is not the job of POTUS to stand up for any Syrians. It is the job of POTUS to stand up for Americans. If more Presidents remembered that I think we would be much better off. I personally do not care how Syrians kill each other.

So, let me get this straight:

Trump comes to the rescue of civilians attacked with WMDs, that Susan Rice said the Obama admin had already collected, he kicks sand in Obama's face on the "Red Line" failure, he stuffs Putin by showing him that his revered S-300 missile system is useless against us, and he's able to look at Xi at the dinner table and say: "You take care of NoKo or we will."

And FReepers are bitching like a bunch of girls that got left home on prom night.

People can’t have it both ways, if it was going to be a good idea to make common cause with Putin and Assad, then this is not a good thing; if it was a bad idea then this fits the narrative, but whose narrative is it, actually?

Who did what to whom? How do we know this “sarin gas attack” wasn’t staged like various other things have been to manipulate western public opinion, and to what end?

I don’t trust the story largely because neocon vultures like McCain and Graham have been cheering on this so-called retaliation. Until yesterday they were leading the fight against the president and peddling the myth that he and his closest advisors were dupes of the Russians.

Maybe now unfortunately they have become dupes of the neocon globalists. We’ve seen this before. Must we see it again? I would hold off and let Assad determine his own fate. As bad as he may be, everyone else there is worse and not only worse, but more dangerous to security.

Let not your heart be troubled!

Apparently the Israelis know the name of the Syrian pilot who dropped the Saran gas bombs. This really is a Syrian attack and not a false flag.

One reason I voted for Trump was to keep us out of Syria.

Quit posting that link to a 20 minute video by some unknown Israeli and tell us what you supposedly know from it. Or don’t.

Unfortunately, I don’t trust Israel any more than I trust the rest of them.

They have their own agenda, which includes the removal of Assad. Why couldn’t they do their own dirty work?

They aren’t above lying to their allies for their own convenience. The USS Liberty incident proved that.

IF we had certainty that the Syrian military is responsible for the chemical attacks, then all would be as you say.

But we don’t. This reeks of a false flag.

I believe the US intel community has lied to President Trump, and that once again we are being herded into war.

Umm...Not worshiping Israel isn’t a sign of the Mark of the Beast.

I don’t hate Israel but I don’t worship them either. I will criticize them when they do wrong.

I have come to that conclusion myself. The Saudis and Israel both see Syria as an obstacle to their goals.

Think big picture people. This was a precision strike in response to Syrian use of chemical weapons on civilians after being repeatedly warned. Trump just put little hot head dictators around the globe on notice to behave because Daddy is home and the feckless punk is no longer in the White House.

In the long term this small, precision strike sends a huge message to wannabe trouble makers. In the long term this move will SAVE American lives. It’s truly not that hard to figure out. EVERY new president gets tested by the bad guys. Trump just passed his test with flying colors.

This reeks of a false flag.

Then the Israelis are in on it too, since the Israeli Defense minister says he is "100 percent sure" it was Assad.

And some would say it had to be Assad because the chemical weapons were delivered in an air strike. The rebels don't have airplanes.

But there may be a little wiggle room since Assad's side claims the chemicals were not dropped by the airplane, but rather the chemicals were being stored nearby and were released when conventional bombs disturbed the storage site.

However, Assad is not likely to be above such acts since for years they have dropped "barrel bombs" with chlorine gas, not as lethal and, as an industrial chemical not included in the 2013 agreement, a chemical gas agent that is readily available compared to nerve gas.

This was more of a messgage to North Korea than anything to do with Syria. Syria was convenient.

"What about the Christian Syrian people."

Exactly.

That should be the first thought of any FReeper upon reading the title.

Life does not have to be complicated.
