Try buying another speaker.
I had a frustrating experience with bluetooth speakers for my Windows 7 pc. They would not connect so I brought them back to Bestbuy and got another of the same model. Same result. I took them back again and the clerk at the return counter said they should connect but he was unable to connect to the stores wireless. I picked out another different model. Same result.
I PLUGGED then in and they work....
At work we get calls from co-workers using Samsung Tab tablets that use bluetooth keyboards. They get disconnected and this using the android OS.
In short I think it is the bluetooth standards that are not very good.
