While I don’t want to read the article and it sounds creepy, my daughter was a full blastocyst in liquid nitrogen for four years and she is none the worse for wear. Smart, strong, beautiful, etc.

Now the democrats will have endless supply of voters.

I'm not so sure about that. Restoring the brain functions of people who were previously brain dead would probably mean fewer Democrat voters, not more.

“And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation” (Hebrews 9:27-28).

“I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death” (Revelation 1:18).

What do you know! More scientists pretty sure they can be God.

If I had had the power to have brought my wife back from her death bed I still would not have done it . . . because she would have been SOOOO mad at me!

“What are you doing bringing me back! Jesus and I were having a wonderful conversation!”

“We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord” (II Corinthians 5:8).

Those who don’t know Christ, though; well, that’s a different story.

Oh, and that single verse wipes out for all eternity the false teaching of purgatory.

A lot of people going to Hell would really appreciate that. Then again some people are just don’t care.

It is appointed to every man (person) to die once , and then the judgement.

Nonsense. Because people in Purgatory ARE in the presence of the Lord.

There are many verses of Scripture referring to a process of purification at and after death, and the obligation to pray for the dead.

In Matthew 5:26 and Luke 12:59 Christ is condemning sin and speaks of liberation only after expiation. “Amen, I say to you, you will not be released until you have paid the last penny.” Now we know that no last penny needs to be paid in Heaven and from Hell there is no liberation at all; hence the reference must apply to a third place.

There’s no such thing as Purgatory or anything like that.. you are either saved or lost... There is no intermediate state, so it’s either heaven or hell.

You don’t lose your salvation. Jesus didn’t say,... “You were doing well until you lost your salvation, until you fell from grace.”

“Not by works of righteousness that we have done, but by his mercy he saved us….By grace are you saved through faith, not of yourselves; it’s a gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast.”

....And we know from 1 Corinthians 3, again, that the works could all be burned up. So what counts is I am saved by faith in Christ...... “The gospel is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes….For God so loved the world he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.” Over and over and over the Bible makes it clear that what God requires of us is faith.

Furthermore if you think you are righteous, you are trusting in your own righteousness..... So again, it says,... “Now to him that worketh not, but believeth….”.... So we have…faith is in contrast to works, and there is no salvation by works. ...“To him that worketh not but believeth on him that justifies the ungodly, his ‘faith’ is counted for righteousness.”

Additionally...Paul states.... “Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they might be saved. Now I bear them record, I bear them witness, that they have a zeal after God but not according to knowledge and godliness. They ‘being ignorant of God’s righteousness’, and going about ‘to establish their own righteousness’, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.....so anyone who thinks that he can do works that are good enough, he just is ignorant of the standard of God’s perfect righteousness, and we cannot offer our righteousness to God....we have none.

They are going to test it on brain dead people. My understand is that for actual dead people the nerve cells very quickly lose the ability to ever function again. From memory I think this happens in seconds.

That was my first thought. Who would want to come back if they have seen God? None. Who would want to come back if they have been in hell? ALL.

You are twisting Paul’s words. He says that what a man may have done THAT IS OF NO VALUE will be burned up. That is, in Purgatory. Not ALL his works.

I notice you have no response to what Jesus says:

In Matthew 5:26 and Luke 12:59 Christ is condemning sin and speaks of liberation only after expiation. “Amen, I say to you, you will not be released until you have paid the last penny.” Now we know that no last penny needs to be paid in Heaven and from Hell there is no liberation at all; hence the reference must apply to a third place.

Humm-mmm interesting that you began your response by saying I’m twisting what is written.....and then further stating I have no response for some other scripture you apparently want to enlarge upon.

Sooo...let me think about this before if or not I choose to continue.

....” then the judgement”....

Judgement is for non-believers....believers Judgement was completed on Calvary.

However...Believers will be ‘rewarded’ but that is not a judgement of condemnation as will be for unbelievers.
